It's on ESPN right now.. should be interesting. I feel Shaq has enough in him to give a nice push and motivate Lebron to get to the next level (if that's possible). LBJ certainly can't complain that the Cavs aren't trying to "build" a team around him, as much as you can really build with a guy as old as Shaq.

He certainly showed plenty of flashes late last year to show he still has it in him, but how consistent can he be?

Then they better add some more talent. Sorry, but 18 points, 10 rebounds isn't going to make the Cavs champions. (I'm just guessing those were shaqs numbers last year)

I think Shaq counts as 2 players :)

And hopefully Mo Williams won't disappear in the playoffs again next year..that with an improved LeBron could be pretty devastating.

It's a HUGE improvement over Ilgauskas last year, and the year Shaq won with the Heat he was "just" a 20 + 9 guy..

Regardless it never hurts to bring in a guy with 4 rings on his hand and 3 finals MVPs.

I do agree this certainly doesn't make them a lock for anything, and would need at least 1 more player to really complete this team. Though through two rounds of the NBA playoffs last year many people thought they'd complete business without any hassles.

Damn, so the trade finally happened, eh? Lots of big trades going on right now...the Eastern Conference is looking more and more grim for my Pistons :( :p

From what has been talked about, he'd be playing limited minutes since he's obviously old and the limited minutes definitely helped him this past season. He obviously won't be a huge domninant force like he was but he'll definitely help when Ilgauskas is struggling. This is a great move for them. Not as good as the Spurs getting Jefferson but it's still a good deal for them.

Oh and the Suns are stupid for trading Marion.

I agree it's a huge improvement but to use a football analogy, if it's 3rd and goal w/ ball on the 10 yard line, the cavs just picked up 5 yards.

Lakers/Cavs should again be favored to make it to the finals again--if people thought Lebron v. Kobe was going to be epic this past year, Lebron + Shaq v. Kobe will be out of this world.

They gave up nothing to get a potential 18-8 guy that can defend howard... sounds like a good move to me...

I like the move the Spurs made better.

I don't see the Spurs being any threat in the west at all, the Lakers seem to still be in tact, the Nuggets I think established themselves as the #2 team in the west, it'd be hard to consider the Spurs even the #3 team with the Mavs/Rockets out there too..

I guarantee you the Spurs are #3 in the West now.

Not enough. Shaq is too old. They're gonna lose in the 2nd round and LeBron is going to NY, count it.

Cleveland keeps surrounding lebron with so-so veterans rather than building a nucleus of young talent, terrible move. If there were at least a lot of young guns that can improve, lebron might be tempted to re-sign and see it through.

Rockets will be #3...mark my words!!! :D

Tmac's last year on the contract so I'm sure he's going to play awesome to get a decent renewal or other offer.

I honestly think healthy Spurs + Jefferson can beat the Nuggets in a 7 game series.
