What am I supposed to see?Good ol illusion demonstrating the powers of retinal lateral inhibition. Essentially, the retina has inhibitory inputs to adjacent retinal cells to prevent signalling errors. This is so that the signal from one cell won't mistakenly spread to adjacent cells, and thus increasing signal to noise ratio.
