Yeah im sure lots of you ATOT guys hate that Salt shaker song(Ying Yang Twins) but play that on my side of the tracks, everyone starts getting crunk(excuse me, wrong forum, everyone will get up and dance and have a good time:p)

But i agree, lack of creativity, but who cares, millions love it. I wish i was in a position to think of a mindless saying that will make me money.
What about a song called " I rule like ATOT"
:D

There is quality and crap in any genre of music. Just because the top 40 stations choose to only play what they feel will have mass appeal doesn't mean it's represtentative of hip hop as a whole. KRS for one has strong, provocative lyrics for the most part but naturally sees little air play.

In regards to that milkshake song...

Actually the record label is going to see 90% of that profit, while the artist will see the 10%. And that's being generous. And of course this will be there only hit and they will fade off never to be seen or heard of again.

The music industry sucks. Bands don't have the longevity as they did in the past.

It's clear that most people here are only familiar with mainstream rap (note: I'm not even a fan of rap music and can understand this).

You hit the nail on the head with that one. Judge the entire genre by what you hear on the radio. (not you, but most here).

There is no point in arguing about it, i'm not sure why people continue to try.
