Bottom line is, no matter how famous you might be, there's always going to be someone who doesn't have a clue who you are.......and a bunch more that don't care.

It wasnt a joke, he was just having fun. Anyway, the video is from 1998. If you look at some of his other videos, he wears his Sikh turban in all of them and always appears to be jovial throughout.

I guess its kind of like cowboys always wearing 10 gallon hats during old fashioned cw videos, although one is religious and one is not. 🙂

Funny, I felt the same way when I heard about the recent debacle with the arresting of a "prominent" Harvard professor, Henry Louis Gates. People were amazed that someone so famous could be mistaken for a common thief or thug.

I said, the whole time, "Um....who???"

PS Khan is probably more famous in the states than Gates.

I still don't see how this happened though. It's not like this is a nobody. It is very easy to verify celebrities, just call their agents/handlers in the States. Shit, like someone said, google would have told them who Khan was.

I'd never recognize Bob Dylan either. Obviously the name, and perhaps his voice (though singing voices are often very, very different from speaking voices), but not his face.

Excatly ... She thinks that my mother stole her entire property and plans to throw her in a oldage home(which is not possible legally).

I was detained and questioned for about an hour coming back from another country. I am white, no criminal background, no real reason to stop me other than I had surfboards and looked like a surfer (all surfers smuggle pot I guess).

You didn't see me ranting and raving and tweeting the press. Get the fuck over it.

I am Indian and I have been "randomly choose" numerous times for "special" security check from 2002 - 2004. I was traveling a lot during that time. i never complained, in fact I was so accustomed to the routine that I used to go through the routine fairly quick and move on... I was never pissed off at them, after all those a$$holes did look like me...
