I've heard people say that if you are straight and
admit that members of the same sex are attractive..that makes you gay 😕

I think that people should be confident enough in their sense of masculinity or femininity to appreciate the physical beauty of all ....without having to question their sexual preference.


Do you straight/gay people here ever find someone of the same/opposite sex attractive ?
If so, would that make you gay/straight/bisexual ?
 
I think it's possible to aesthetically comprehend how a person is attractive, no matter what gender. Something to do with symmetry of the face, for one. If you're going by the pop culture standard of attractive, it's not hard to see who comes close to that ideal size and shape. But being able to see that someone's attractive isn't the same as being attracted to them. I know which of my gal pals are pretty. I can, if I bother paying attention, which I usually don't, decide whether a guy's attractive or not. But that never has to do with being attracted to him.
 
i like boobs... and only boobs.

EDIT: that is if they are on natural born women. none of those transformers...more than meets the eye....

Knew this was going to come up again soon or later. I asked the very same question with a poll. Got 270 or so replies and over 400 voters, then Moderator decided it was our best interest to remove it to avoid flamefest. It didn't get locked or anything. I just got a notice of removal by email 🙁

And so is art. Art (IMO) means something with inherent beauty, not something that's perfect.

To me, being gay is the state where you're only sexually attracted to members of your own sex. I'm definitely not gay, and for that matter I pretty much don't find the male form attractive at all. Now the female form, on the other hand...
 
I don't think the male form was made to be admired like the female form. Dudes' bodies are funny lookin, IMHO.

Anyhow, I am straight. (Hence the MRS part in my name) but I can tell you if other women are attractive!
 
I'm straight. I don't find members of my own sex 'attractive" in that I'm not attracted to them. I might see that they are handsome, and what a woman might find as ideal though.

To me admiring a member of your own sex based on his looks and Personality doesn't mean you are gay unless you are sexually attracted to them. Tom Selleck is a Great looking Guy, hell I wished I looked as good. But I sure don't want to sex his ass down. If anything I would envy him his looks and the way he carries himself. Being good looking is only part of the equation when it comes to being attractive. Often those who are attractive need to display more humility than the norm or they are considered conceited. People like Selleck, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman etc. pull that off rather well which makes them popular with the average person.

 
Interesting the difference between what a guy thinks is handsome and what a woman thinks is handsome.
ie IMO, Backstreet Boys, etc = foo
 
I'm a guy, I'm straight...
I can tell if a guy is ugly or not, doesnt mean I am even slightly attracted to him... but everyone can tell if someone is ugly or not.
