Dissecting things to the Nth degree in some vain attempt to find Truth, but ending up dead, sterile, and completely wrong.

The problem compounds with the Bible being so blatantly flawed in the first place. Add in the Religious trying to determine every action by it and the result can be everything from benign to catastrophic.

I can agree with you to a certain extent. What this thread seems to be all about is people with a preconceived agenda looking to the Bible for specific passages that will support their agenda. In doing so, one can make the Bible say anything he or she wants; just pick the right phrases.

I will have to say that I think there is a "right" view to issues, but no one can achieve it when he or she dissects the NT, a text written to 1st century Christians, with 21st century glasses and an agenda.

Not saying it will happen, but it is possible. Blood or semen on toilet seat -> cut on thigh or butt. Same with mouth to mouth, open sores in the mouth could transfer disease.
