If you look at the shadow of the car and the tailpipes the sun seems to be sorta low in the sky, and to the rear right. If this is so, then why aren't those telephone poles making any shadow?
They are. Look at the sidewalk on the right hand side of the photo. Now follow that sidewalk as it passes in front of the passenger head rest of the Corvette. Through the windshield, you can see the shadow from the nearest telephone poll cross the sidewalk at a sharp angle, exactly as you might expect.
Also as someone mentioned before, why aren't the wheels moving if they are in a 45 mph zone with traffic that isn't very heavy?
Things don't 'move' in a photograph. The film or shutter speed of the camera was fast enough to catch the action of the wheel, which is why the wheels don't appear 'blurred'. I doubt the car was going the posted limit, probably something less than 45. If you look at the pavement directly behind the car, it shows tell-tale 'striping' along the axis that the car is heading. The car is MOVING.
If the film speed was fast enough to catch the action of the wheel, why is the pavement blurred? The same reason that when you're traveling in a vehicle, things nearer to you seem to go by 'faster' than things further away. The pavement behind the vehicle is 'nearer' the trailing edge of the photo, which is where the 'fastest' action is happening.
I'd guess the car is real, but pasted into that pic or something.
For what reason would anyone do such a thing?
I believe the 'debate' implied in the question centered around the vehicle being so ugly with all that garbage attached that nobody in their right mind would think such a thing is 'cool' and would therefore never ruin a perfectly good Corvette like that. Of course we know that was satire, lots of people would ruin a perfectly good Corvette like that.
