Daily or Weekly...doesn't make much difference in order to develop "Power Ratings".
I've worked out an example of how such an idea would look on paper and I'm going to try and paste it to this note. It is on a spreadsheet and looks real neat and organized. It may not looks so good when I put it into the forum reply format. Let's see how it may go.
The Racers who sign up with their average WU production:
RACER AVGWU
A 40
B 33
C 31
D 30
E 29
F 27
G 26
H 25
I 24
J 21
K 20
L 20
M 17
N 15
O 13
P 11
Q 10
R 10
S 10
T 9
U 9
V 8
W 7
X 6
Y 6
Z 6
AA 5
BB 4
CC 4
DD 3
EE 3
FF 3
GG 3
HH 3
II 2
JJ 2
KK 2
LL 1
MM 1
NN 1
Total 500
Dividing the racers up into five teams with about equal production capabilities you could end up with the following "league".
Team 1: A/40, J/21, K/20, T/9, Y/6, DD/3, and MM/1 = 100
Team 2: B/33, I/24, L/20, S/10, X/6, CC/4, and HH/3 = 100
Team 3: C/31, H/25, M/17, R/10, W/7, BB/4, GG/3, II/2, and LL/1 = 100
Team 4: D/30, G/26, N/15, Q/10, V/8, AA/5, FF/3, KK/2, and NN/1 = 100
Team 5: E/29, F/27, O/13, P/11, U/9, Z/6, EE/3, and JJ/2 = 100
Well, that came out looking awful when I tried to paste it from my spreadsheet. :| So I had to type it out, team by team.
The whole point of course is to just create and maintain interest in the project and TeAm AnandTech's production. I would suggest that the races be of shorter durations rather than long. Like maybe one month. Then a new race could be organized with the latest "Power Ratings" used to keep everything (Racers & Mini-Teams) close and competitive.
Hey, I'm just brain-storming here. Let's knock it about or knock it out.😀
