SETI: How many w/u's will you finish with?

Thought it might be interesting for each of us to set a goal/make a prediction on how many workunits you'll have when they shut everything down. Based on the fact that no one knows the exact date it makes it all that more difficult. I'll give away a brand new fully loaded 2004 SL55 AMG to whoever guesses closest.

I'm sitting on around 30100, I think I can pull 32000.






(NOTE: A hearty 'job well done' may be substituted for the SL55 at my discretion.)

2439 myself, I was hoping for the same thing but don't see it happening. As long as I hit top 50 on the team I'll be happy, sitting at 51 now and got a couple rungs to climb over the next few days.

Btw don't know how true this is ,but I've heard that S@H1 won't be killed until March 2004!

Assuming BOINC is out at the end of this month or shortly thereafter I would say January 1 would be a good date. A 60 day overlap gives people a good amount of time to switch machines over. Too short of a time and you're going to have alot of machines sitting there doing nothing. Then again if the program is basically over now and the data being crunched is redundent then there's no reason to keep it up once an alternative is available.

Well, I'd like to get the 50k certificate before it ends. At ~2600 wu's a week, I should be there by the end of the month. If it drags on to the end of the year, I'd be getting close to the 75k mark.
