Yep!!! It's struggling and I haven't been able to connect but I noticed a different set of error messages in my Setiqueue!

Do the servers a favor, and hold off downloading uploading for as long as you can.....they're being absolutely smashed right now...
 
No problem holding off here, can't do a thing until Monday at work anyway. 🙁


But it's great SETI is back up! 😀

at this point it looks like only about 100 wu's up since the 'crash'.
 
Yeah, I was able to get a new wu, but I can't send my results yet...I will hold off till late tonight to dump mine..🙂

I'm sure my work fleet is grounded right now and my home SetiQ is down to 1 WU. I've got about 2 hours left until one of my ships finishes processing it's WU. Another will finish 30 minutes after that and then I will be officially grounded.

My queue managed to connect but it was trying to send WU's. I moved the completed WU's out of the directory and restarted it. Hopefully I can manage to download a few. I might stop by work and move my completed WU's there as well. I'd guess I've got 300 or so trying to send. That isn't going to help things. 😱

My Setiqueue finally connected, uploaded 1 result and got 1 in return... 😀

I guess that's better than nothing... My SetiDriver is periodically trying as well (although SetiDriver lets the client do the contacting, thus defaulting to once an hour, whereas Setiqueue cycles through an ever decreasing retry).

i'm still crunching for the cav though... maybe in a few hours i'll get one.
 
Ah🙂 ,I had noticed earlier that the SETIQ messaged chnged from unable to connect to 'timed out' ,I nearly posted thread about it myself😛
 
I was able to send one in earlier, but couldn't download. I'm 33% done with my last unit, but it just dowloaded one unit! Woohoo, and there's a second one, as I'm typing this🙂

Edit: Ahh, very nice, SetiDriver is now full🙂

Finally filled up the SetiDriver queue on my dual Xeon! Right at the moment it finished its very last WU! 😀

Setiqueue is slowly going through its upload/download. I've gotten about 9 new WUs loaded into it so far and about 7-8 results uploads...

The backlog is slowly receding! 😀
 
I am finally getting my Seti Driver dumped and reloaded! It's so nice to see work units waiting to process again! 🙂 🙂

BTW - Poof is right, it is slowly getting better..they must be getting hammered!
 
One tip that worked for me with Seti Driver..

If you get the message that it can't connect and it will try again in an hour, just hit "Stop Transmit" and do it again. It will usually connect on the second or third try. 🙂 🙂

Anyone decide to raise their cache already? 😉
 
Sure hope we get some Stats in the morning!!🙂😀 I managed to upload a bunch, but downloading WUs is still very slow. I got enough to restart SETI on most of my systems and shutdown RC5-64. I did 16,682 RC5 blocks with the Apt. herd since Thursday, and only 15 SETI WUs. I was moving WUs from the SetiQ at work to my home fleet via floopy and only running SETI on a few boxes. Sure glad this is over!

 
Yes, I've increased my cache to 100 for all of my pc's. I've received them all now. Everything seems back to normal now. I had them at 10 before so unfortunately I was idle for a while during the server's down time. That won't happen again to me unless the server goes down for about month!! 🙂
 
Made the dump and reloaded 🙂
did a quick check with setiteam and it looks like everything went well🙂
should be a good day tomorrow🙂 though not as good as one had hoped🙁

...i actually turned my computers off for the first time in over a year.... i felt like they were useless gobs of silicon just sitting there doing nothing but eating electricity... i guess i better learn Seti Driver. So good to be back doing units!
