Any truth to the Set Point Theory? I haven't lost any significant weight in the last 3 months, but in the 5 months before that I had lost almost 10 lbs. My eating habits are relatively the same and so is my cardio routine. I recently started working in a weight-routine to try and mix things up a little bit.

Well, if you lose weight, you have to accommodate your diet accordingly. As you lose the weight, you will burn fewer calories. If you want to continue losing that weight, you will have to reevaluate your calorie consumption and decrease it oncemore. If you decrease your calories, you are nearly assured weightloss. How much do you weigh (height would be good too) and how old are you?

I?m 39 years old, 5?7? and weigh approximately 190Lbs. Back in my late teens and into my mid-twenties I considered myself an avid body-builder. I did almost every thing I could to build muscle without relying on steroids, i.e. protein shakes, cans of tuna for snacks, and countless supplements. My routine worked well. Back in 1995 I weighed between 180-185, but I was fairly ripped. So as of right now I?m not too far from my weight of 1995, when I considered myself the best shape of my life.

If you eat more food, you will weigh more than if you eat less food. If you always eat the same things in the same quantities, your weight will eventually plateau.

I thought about this but I was kinda going with the whole BMR concept and how much calories to consume in relation to my weight.
