ok so i downloaded suse and extracted to my second hard drive. i want to put it on that second hard drive jsut to test out linux and see if i like it..... if i like it, can i access my bigger, (usually master) hard drive with windows on it WITHOUT having to linux on that?

cliffnotes:
1.wanna switch to window
2. test it out on secondary HD
3.can i have secondary use windows but have my main have linux?
4. can you give me the step by step, cuase when i downloaded it the file was empty.

huh. If you are asking if you can dual boot yes. Easy with Suse. Also, it can be the first loaded or last loaded, but windows has to be on the primary partition-the man trying to hold linux and other OSes down 😀. Try the CD, it costs but you get all kinds of support, and it is all automated. YaST will hook it uo correctly. By the by, what do you mean the file was empty. If you downloaded a. ISO file you must burn it to a disk THEN install it.
