ok so i downloaded suse and extracted to my second hard drive. i want to put it on that second hard drive jsut to test out linux and see if i like it..... if i like it, can i access my bigger, (usually master) hard drive with windows on it WITHOUT having to linux on that?

. Try the CD, it costs but you get all kinds of support, and it is all automated. YaST will hook it uo correctly. By the by, what do you mean the file was empty. If you downloaded a. ISO file you must burn it to a disk THEN install it.
