I have an insanely detaild rear vehicle pic of the car

I did it in case i had some noticeable damage, but.im assuming with none visible i can point to its worthless filing something with little evidence and no witnesses

Had i been in my wifes honda i would have pulled over immediately, but in my saturn im not as concerned

Don't have a phone with a camera?

Should report. If I rear end someone, even the slightest tap, I still pay them the respect of pulling over and checking for damage.

This guy didn't even check, stop, or say anything. That's shady.

Good point. He probably has cocaine in the trunk. Report it to the police.

I think whats going on is people surfing or texting at a stop and they fail to put a good stomp on the brake and slowly creep into the back of the other car

Or they were screwing with their GPS, eating a bowl of cereal, putting on make up, reading the newspaper/book, changing CD's, plugging in their iPod, or countless other factors.

I remember when we used to mildly bump each other in high school. Ahh, the days.

Only time I was ever in a real rear end bump, was when I was driving home late at night sometime around 3am. Had been up for like 30 hours. Was sitting at an intersection red light, stopped, dozed off, my foot loosened off the brake a tad just enough for me to crawl into the back bumper of the guy in front of me.

I pulled off for them at a nearby gas station and helped them checked the damage, of which there was none. But, they were freaking the fuck out and demanded to see my insurance and wrote down my license tag, then demanded my phone number, claiming I was drunk and they were going to file a report with the police.

I told them I was just tired, I had not been drinking, and the police showed up, confirmed my side of the story, and dismissed them. I was pretty wired by that point and only 15 minutes away from home, so I just got back in my car and drove off.

There are a lot of kids down here that have that app that their parent's installed so you can't be moving and texting. In rush hour they literally just stop, and then roll about 10' and stop, never looking and having like 10 car lengths of space.

And retarded liberals will probably try to say that it's wrong to execute these assholes.

Driving should be like survivor. If enough people vote your car's license plate off the island, you get the death penalty.

I guess it depends on where you are at too, i was in left lane on a four lane busy road, not safe to exit there. When he was douchey enough to not pull over with me i had to make a decision to file a pice report or just let him off.

Considering the tapping, condition of my own vehicle, i didnt want to waste my time. I wont lie though, 49% of me wanted to be as big of a dick as possible to prove a point you need to be courteius on the road.

Back in high school friends used to tap each other for the lulz, i hated it but it gave me a good idea of what a damage causing thrust feels like. With plastic saturn bumpers it takes alot to cause any visible dmage.

Cant say how i reacted was right or wrong, it just felt most logical

aaaahh, i miss bumper tag. its usually not a good idea, but it sure was fun.

Okay.

Also, AT should be like that. If enough people vote you off the forum, you get perma banned.

If nothing else put in a police report so that if the person is regularly doing this it will be taken into account in their driving record. It needs to be documented to protect others that may end up in the same situation (and yourself).

I had the opposite happen to me once. I lightly tapped this decrepit old man's car because he pulled out to turn right and then just stopped dead in the intersection with no warning. I watched him pull out, looked left, and pulled out myself, only to find him just sitting there blocking traffic. After the contact, he looked startled and then took off at high speed. I followed for a while so I could inspect for damage and give my info if necessary, but after a couple miles, I figured why bother if he doesn't want to stop?

Me, too, or more correctly, the inverse?

I was riding with a friend (driver), he pulled up to an intersection that was on a slight incline, in a small town (like 300 pop). There was an old truck in front of us with a manual tranny (we had been behind him for about a mile). The truck rolled back and hit us, just tapped the bumper. The older dude gets out (maybe 50), leaves his door open, walks up to my friend's window and to our surprise (we thought he was going to apologize) starts cursing my friend out, accusing us of hitting him. And then we could smell the stench of booze emanating from his pie hole...

This was 20 years ago, before cell phones. We just told him to shut it, that we could tell he'd been drinking and to get in his truck and go or else we'd pull over to that pay phone (only a few hundred feet away, at a gas station) and call the cops on him (or kick his ass, which ever came first).

If you knew it was a manual for a mile, you should have been back on an incline. I really hate when someone gets a foot or so away from me on a hill.

Personally at this point if I felt I left enough space and he rolled back anyway into me then came up to my window, I'd have beat his ass...stuffed him back in his truck and then called the police that some crazy old man needs help. :)

We were a full six or seven feet away. I actually alerted my friend that the truck was rolling backwards, but before he could get his (automatic) trans into reverse, the truck hit us.
