Have you guys ever met? If not, maybe you should talk to her first... if so, then it might be a good suprise to show up. In either case, that's going to be an expensive relationship to keep since you both live so far away.

I don't know man...maintaining a relationship over that kind of distance is nearly impossible. That being said, my girl friend currently lives in Miami and I live in SC. Fortunately though, we are able to fly and see each other ever other weekend....so it is bearable until we are able to move closer. I would never have never picked this, but with the economy the way it is, we are lucky to have jobs.
I say go for it since you say you want to visit OZ anyhow so even if it doesn't go right, you'll at least go somewhere on vacation where you've wanted to go. Anyhow, from my personal experience cuz I'm a total idiot too, I have a long distance relationship with my current gf and she lives in Malaysia, I live in California too. Ugh. But for my defense, I didn't see this relationship coming. hehe
Anyhow, I have visited her only after falling for her and talking to her for over a year. Then we met up. Things worked out....year after that went to visit her again but this time met her parents :Q Boy did that suck. but we're still together........for the past 4 and a half years.
Well, it could work out for you too......BUT!!!!! i really suggest you don't do this. it's really REALLY REALLY hard. Visit her...have fun....break it off. Unless you're a chicken like me. hehehe

1) Learn about females
2) Learn some slang...you sound like a guy that really doesnt get out much
3) This will not be worth it. If you want to spend money for booty, just go to L.V. and live it up for a night. You will get more and probably end up spending less.

If you are seriously thinking of doing it I would definitely make it a sightseeing trip as well. That way if all turns out the worst, you're standing in a new country, a couple of weeks to spare and some serious vacationing to do. And 18 is the drinking age here, so
