Out of left field? If you have read any of his previous topics, you wouldnt think so. Look at the very first reply in this thread, that sums it up. The fact is, if he had done any research, he would see that ATi and NV play SS2 about the same speed. So claiming that ATi cards are "that bad" is pretty silly. I threw in the fact that ATi can do HDR+AA in it, showing it can actually be better on ATi cards. Im sorry you dont like facts being posted.

Now that you have fraps tell us what the FPS are. Telling us it runs like crap is very subjective.

Also to be clear:
When you say lag. Are you talking about single player games or are you talking about multiplayer? The reason being is Lag is also referred to networking.

It appears the 2 games that had issues are now resolved as you moved onto to Hitman, correct?

Also note your sound card is not the greatest. Setting the sound to high details can slow down your gameplay. For an experiment you may want to disable the sound card, via my control panel, system, hardware, device manager, sound/video/&game controllers, right click on Sounblaster and select disable. Rerun the game and see if it improves the situation. To enable the device repeat the procedure but select Enable when right clicking. In either case enabling EAX or High Quality audio with that card will degrade performance.

No. What I see you do ALL of the time, even in exclusively ATI threads, is to not miss a beat and say how ATI is better than NV. Even if NV was never even mentioned in the thread. (Most recent in memory was the X1950XT "paper launch")...
Go back and read the OP. You and I both know an X1900 is far better than a 6600GT. The OP did something wrong, and it doesn't look like he will do any of the things we suggest, just question them as if he thinks he knows better. There are numerous things the OP could have done to create these problems for himself. You offer ZERO help and state it's better because it can do HDR+AA?? How is this helping BTW? Or is it you don't care to help, but just pimp ATI? Because it sure seems that way to me.

Not that it matters, but 90% of the people here haven't been helping. In fact, most have been making fun of the OP for his effortless stupidity.

I do agree with keys though Ackmed, no one ever was disputing the fact that ATI was better than Nvidia in SS2, but you brought it out of nowhere that it, unlike the competition, can do HDR+AA. The fact that the OP owns an amazing card like the X1900 doesn't mean anything unless he properly installs his system's software and has stability in his overclocks. A card's features are irrelevant if he hasn't done those things. You know that he's been pimping the X1900XT ever since he found out is wasn't crap, everyone who frequents these threads knows that. Before trying to educate him on the complexities of HDR+AA (because for him it would be a complexity) it would have been more on topic to claim that he's an idiot or he hasn't done something right, not, "It can do HDR+AA".

No one's trolling, there isn't a group of guys following you around waiting for you to post something pro-ATI (because that happens so much it really doesn't require tracking). Everyone already knew before you said it that SS2 is a game that plays best on ATI hardware.

Ackmed remains pretty unbiased in my time at ATF and I have been here longer than most... Ackmed is fair to both companies. He is, after all, using a 7800 GTX IIRC. Just doesn't seem like the fanboi you are making him out to be.

People generally have a problem with Ackmed because he speaks the truth and some people just don't want to hear it. Some people love to put their fingers in their ears and run helter skelter chanting their favorite video card brand names over and over trying to get an orgasmic experience from it at the same time. It is a little sad...

What I find two faced is that the same people who defend tRollo are the ones attacking Ackmed and the two are not even comparable... tRollo never gave unbiased advice and Ackmed does. Ackmed isn't scared to recomend nVidia if the price is right and has done so in the past.

You MUST be joking. Akmed is the biggest ATI fanboy on this site. Heck he is the biggest fanboy on multiple sites. Even people who I consider big ATI fans have taken a step back from him. You really should go and read his posts.....
