I somewhat agree. Would I buy something from Sony that costs more than $100? Probably not, but Sony products generally do have decent performance during their lifespans.

I have a few Sony products that I like, including a surprisingly tough digital cordless phone, and a Walkman with MDR-V100 headphones that I think are OK, but not great. I also have two inexpensive Sony portable radios that sound OK for what they are.

My high-end Sony's have lasted me 5+ years.
