now i never said homosexual acts were logical... just that logic alone would change my mind. my opinions default to freedom, unless given a good reason not to.

and perhaps you could enlighten me on exactly how dire our population situation is that we need to start forcing people to procreate.

The majority of the time, human beings have sex for pleasure and not for procreation. Gay guys don't get off on women, but men. You and I may find it disgusting, but it should not be the government's place to dictate what two consenting adults do.

One of the inexplicable things in this country is that certain people feel it is their superior moral right to decide what other adults can do in the privacy of their own homes, with other consenting adults. What exactly is the state's interest in preventing sodomy, polygamy, or adultery? I have absoutly no problem with freedom of choice, but along with that freedom comes the responsibility of accepting the consequences of said freedom. If you are homosexual that is fine by me but don't expect the majority of people to agree with you or like/condone/accept your actions. Poeple who disagree with or are against homosexual acts are not a bigot for expressing their FREEDOM of choice you hold so dear. People will want to rasie their children with the beliefs that they feel are important/correct from their point of view and try to protect them from things they feel are harmful, it is a natural instinct for a parent. As soon as gays start reproducing and having children that they can raise to believe differently from what has been accepted as normal for eons don't expect things to change too drastically opinion wise. I'm really not picking sides but you can legislate that people can't discriminate against gay people but you can't make people like or accept their lifestyle.
