Rest in Hell Senator!

Still remember him killing public option for the ACA

A lot of house members sacrificed their seats to get that public option passed and yeah that fuck undid it himself. If there's a heaven, he ain't in it.

Hey, don't crap on Lieberman. He was the sole reason that brought me back into the Democratic Party after years of being registered Independent.

I switched my registration to Dem so I could vote against Lieberman in the primary (after his ACA grandstanding). Lieberman lost the primary but ran on a third party and won the general election when the GOP defacto backed him.

We should have a thread just for people who die that I and many here couldn’t give two fucks about.

Not surprised this one elicits some strong feelings. My first thought when I saw that he was dead was basically relief he could not fuck anything else up for the country from the grave.

To think that this neocon imposter was once a leader of the party exemplifies how the democrats lost their way during the DLC years. Nice work killing the public option, asshole. That goes for your 2nd wife Hadassah the industry lobbyist, too.

I'm wondering if the need for self importance wasn't what earned him all this praise.

I get the feeling that the left feels the same way about Lieberman that the right does about McCain.

Right wing media is awash with praise for the independent who helped them.
If you encounter anyone in the wild, ask them how many Republicans would they like switching parties? You know, if such a thing deserves their praise. Spoilers, it doesn't. They'll be mad.

I am sure it's a big loss to Connecticut based insurance companies for whom he killed the public option in Obamacare.
