Buying with intent to sell is illegal. I've seen USED guns go for 4-5k over retail....

Interesting, I did not know that. Is that a state or federal law? I knew that buying a gun to sell to someone who was not legally allowed to buy one was obviously illegal but didn't know that general resale goal was illegal in its entirety.

So if you buy a gun, go shooting with it once, then sell it, its legit? heh.

It's all about intent. If you buy it with the intent to resell, it's a straw sale. If you buy it with intent to keep it, then decide you don't want it that's fine - though if you decide you don't want it 5 minutes after the sale....well, the ATF might ask some questions.

Pretty much this. ATF gets to decide. Really not a good thing to have them on your back.

If you actually read the Constitution then just about all gun legislation is unconstitutional...but the liberals have never let the Constitution stand in their way.

If that is the case why haven't state level laws banning "Assault Weapons" not been overturned yet? The one in CA has been on the books for over a decade now.

Haven't been to the supreme court. The 2nd amendment foundation has been doing a good job of laying the ground work and precedent. It's only within the last few years the supreme court has really ruled on the 2nd amendment with the Heller and McDonald verdicts.

And don't celebrate this as a win. They're going to push hard for the "universal background checks" which is more worrisome. That = registration. You know what comes next after registration. Confiscation. Don't let history repeat itself.
