I don't care what you think of McCain or his supporters, but making fun of cancer and cancer victims to me should be cause for a ban. Sickening :|

Heh I actually thought her idea of doing both was pretty good. I have a feeling she didnt come up with it on her own. If she did maybe she has more than 1 functioning bran cell afterall.

Bush can't, and repeatedly and regularly doesn't. Does this mean he doesn't even rise to the abysmal level of "any idiot?"

It's all just an act. Bush is actually an evil genius who puts forth the persona of a bumbling idiot to throw his opponents off guard and to dull criticisms of him.

what about the idiots that sound like idiots even when reading a scripted response?
Good point. She is a moron but she read that much better than Bush has ever read anything.

Her energy policy is the same one pragmatists have touted for a while now.
dull criticisms of him
That hasn't worked so well.

Does this video also have the heavy green hue to it or did she use a better camcorder this time?

If she releases another sexy video that is not shot in the dark and I might even vote for her.

I have to agree with PJ here. I saw the video on TV last night & was expecting the usual lame satire, like you would see on Saturday Night Live. Hilton turned it on it's ear by setting forth a meaningful energy policy (no bogus rebates or gas tax holidays) while sunbathing in her hot swimsuit. A true classic.

oh no.. I mocked a shit-slinging presidential candidate who had to take a day off his busy schedule to get a routine cancer biopsy scraped off his face a couple weeks ago, who wears so much sunscreen he looks like Powder, and edits every campaign ad to only show the R side of his face...

..yet your creative little sig mocks Obama for Hitler, the fascist genocidal murdering dictator..
Climb down off your soapbox Nancy, and don't slip on the tears.

Big difference dickhead.

You are making fun of someone's medical condition. What's next, throwing rocks at retarded children? Heck maybe Obama will get sick and we can start calling him Senator SickleCell

The pic in my sig is highlighting the words Obama's wife spoke that sound eerily similar to propaganda coming out of 1930's Germany. You know, the same way Bush or some dunderhead in his administration will make a dumbass comment that is immediately compared to something Hitler said. I guess it is only acceptable to point out the eeriness of one side's statements and not the other.

So my suggestion in you get down off the little pedestal you have put yourself on and try not to slip on any of your own bullshit on the way down.

Wrong. Bush has never sounded smart, even when he is reading a scripted response.

See you at the debate bitches.

Hahaha, pretty funny actually. Maybe McCancerFace's attack ads weren't the smartest idea after all. I wonder if he got the Hilton's campaign donations refunded yet? Too bad as I'm sure they were looking forward to his increased tax breaks for the wealthy.

We can have a thread on this, but how about one without ridiculously offensive name calling in the title?

...
AnandTech P&N Moderator

Fixed.. now not in title

However considering the fury of petty name calling from the campaign and supporters, and the subject material at hand, I find the name quite appropriate and fair. Certainly no less offensive than the usual P&N mudslinging.

What a juvenile, disgraceful person you are. Cancer is funny now? I sincerely hope you are very young. I find that actually more offensive than comparing Bush to Hitler.

McCain's ad was spot on. Obama's acting and being treated like a celebrity by the media. His "Obama Seal", front page stories all over the place which includes no substance...just free advertising.

I had cancer...so did my wife...and I think cancer's funny. Make fun of it all the time as a matter of fact...

Did you ever consider the benefits of dating a cancer survivor? Their heads isn't the only thing that is bald.

Fixed, but I don't see the big difference

Yes, that's the funny thing. The thing she recommended for an energy policy (a hybrid of drilling *and* looking for new alternate energy sources) is what I would hope most people in the US really wants. It's only the extremists with an ideological agenda that only wants it one way or the other.

Not to get back on topic or anything unusual like that ...

McCain's campaign put out a release saying it's a better plan than what the BHO campaign put out (Check your tire pressure lately?, hmmmmmmmm?)

No response yet from the BHO Batch.

I don't know of anyone who is ONLY for drilling.

The problem with relying only on alternative energy is that we have no idea how long it will take to produce something that will actually work.

Furthermore, coming up with a system that will power our houses or businesses is easy, coming up with a system that will power our cars is another thing altogether. We may spend 20 years and billions of dollars and come up with nothing better than a battery powered car that we have to plug in at night.

I'm sure most guys around here do want to drill Paris.

Thanks, but no.

And if you have to choose between screwing Paris or getting screwed by McCain when he gets the chance to start more wars and ruin the US economy even further? :p

You realize that the tire pressure thing is a really good idea, right? That it would provide us with a way larger decrease in consumption then drilling would provide as an increase in production?

I mean sure that's not going to solve our problems alone, but Obama never said that. It's strange that the RNC is trying so hard to mock something that's a smart thing to do.

They are mocking it because he suggested doing that INSTEAD of drilling. Why not do both?

Edit - I mean really, that's the first thing that I thought of, I'm surprised that you didn't pick up on that as well.

On that tire pressure thing, Keith Obermann had a feature last night that pointed out a few things:

(1) If everyone did properly inflate their tires and have there engines properly tuned, this would save THREE TIMES the oil McCain's offshore drilling would produce-and would save it IMMEDIATELY rather than ten years from now,

(2) This sort of attack, with the $25 tire pressure gauges being sold by the McCain campaign, is a classic GOP character attack to so show the Dem is a wussie-mocking a known true fact as false because it seems trivial and doesn't bear the grand plan characteristics that they feel a President must express.

As The Who said so many decades ago, won't get fooled again.

Wait a second.

At what point did anyone care about Paris Hilton? At what point did she become anything other than an internet skank?

When McCain put images of her and Britney in a negative ad comparing their celebrity to Obama's celebrity. Paris's parents contributed the maximum ammount to McCain's campaign, and they expressed great pleasure at the use of their money. Wait, no they didn't, they were pissed actually.

I agree, it could have been much, much worse and I think it came off pretty well and humorous.

The "I'll see you at the debates, bitches" line made me lol.
