I wouldn't count the Sox out just yet, but I really think LA is finished in 6 games.

I think MLB still gets its money. It's FOX that's crying over (to quote TallBill) "getting fucked over by Tampa's small market".

Maybe this is all part of Francona's big plan to win the ALCS. Go down 3-1, let the opposing team get thrilled/cocky/thinking about the WS and come back like last year.

Also, the Rays won 2 games against Boston after getting blown out in 1 game. Francona's thinking... "hmm, we'll get blown out this time and then we can win the next few games." 🙂

As I've stated before, I grew up a Phillies fan while living in Delaware and rooted for them after I moved to Florida until Tampa got a team. They were still my 2nd fav team and I'm finding it amazing that there's a chance (barring two amazing comebacks) that both of them will be in the WS.

That's pretty cool that Phils are your 2nd fav team, same here. Except I was rooting for Boston (fav team), but I wouldn't mind seeing the Rays win it all. They definitely deserve it, and I predicted they would sweep Boston before the series (since they did it twice in the reg season). Off by 1 game after they finalize things tomorrow night.

It couldn't happen to a better fan base. I thought Redsox Nation was hardcore and the Rays fans were bandwagons. Looked like a lot of the Redsox Nation wanted to get home early.
 
philly has the best fan base. we may be assholes to our players, but we're loyal as hell and it's about time we get a championship back in this shithole of a town!

I'll give RSN the benefit of the doubt and say that those probably weren't the diehard fans. Like with the Cubs, the tickets get priced out of the fans' budget. In both cases, when the team fell behind, those guys are the first to leave.

If Tampa does make it to the WS, I'll still root for them first, but I won't be too sad if the Phillies get their 2nd World Series ever.

Yep ... ratings-wise it'll be a disaster for baseball.

Should however be an interesting WS for real baseball fans.
