That's why I refuse to use them.
The first time I saw that at Home Depot had gotten rid of all but one of the cashiers was also the last time I've gone into that store. I've also pretty much changed supermarkets because of this issue also.
It's funny how all you computer guys are upset about losing tech jobs to other countries and yet are more than willing to help companies screw other people out of their jobs.

They offer no discount on the prices for the decrease in service I experience. Were I offered a discount, I would think about it. But why should I do more work and not even save money? What is the advantage of that? There is none.
So if I'm going to pay the same, I'm going to get full service.

I consider the amount of time spent not standing in line as my discount.
