I still have one left after selling my spare. I use it for emulation mostly (NES/SNES/Genesis) and the good games like Sonic Adventure, Shenmue 1&2 and some others.

Ahh you got an imported version of Shenmue 2??? I loved Shenmue 1 and was pissed that part 2 only came out on xbox since I don't own own. I should buy an imported shenmue 2 just to finish off the story.

What are you up to Sega? I'm gonna follow this like a Hawk. Probably going to be no word until August, that would make a lot of sense. Or talk early and talk of the news regarding August.
I can say my hopes aren't up, but I'd love to hear a new console to be released in August. Or hell, finding out about a console in August would be cool too. But yeah, not expecting that.

After my controllers and memory units stopped working properly, I sold my DC on ebay.

I don't know how they get that August is the 10th anniversary. I know it was released here in North American on 9/9/99 (I vividly remember the marketing campaign), and Wikipedia shows that it came out in Japan in November.

With that aside, I absolutely loved the Dreamcast.

My favorite console ever </3...I was crushed when they gave it the axe, all from sony and their effing hype machine....shame the ps2 never did everything the dc did right out of the box (and in all reality they were about even graphically, it is really only fair to compare the first few generations of titles on each machine since devs have had a bazillion years to master the ps2)

Due the high volume of account requests, the service will be temporally suspended.

Hah.

I have one, I'll have to dig it up and get the serial number.

I am curious to know what they are up to. I didn't have my Dreamcast too long (gave it to my brother once I got a PS2), but I have an odd fondness for the system. There were a lot of things about the system that I wouldn't like in a new system. The controllers weren't very good, the VMUs really weren't feasible from a technological standpoint (kinda bulky, terrible battery life, games on them weren't very good, etc), there were too many peripherals (and in the case of the light guns we had to rely on crappy overpriced third party ones in the US), and it was pretty noisy (although I actually kinda liked the whirring sound it made compared to the cacophony of the 360) among many other issues. Despite all of that, I enjoyed it. I think the reason some people liked the system so much is that it was so easy to pirate games on it.

Yeah, I have no clue where they're getting the August thing from.

It's simple to realize why they're asking....

Remember the Dreamcast slogan? "It's thinking..."

Sega probably wants to know what the infection rate will be once they flip the switch and set all the consoles to "destroy mode".

Very addicting fighting game. You have good taste

Yeah, I don't know why they haven't brought that back for the Xbox 360 or PS3. Makes too much sense I suppose....

I dunno. I don't know if the market will support four home consoles. This generation looks like it will ultimately be split relatively evenly.

They'd have to come out with something really special and unique.

Dreamcast fit that bill. Sucks that they don't know how to sell like sony.

Maybe Sega will finally come out with a game immersion helmet/brain implant chip where you just think and play! Would be like a dream you can easily control. Now thats how videogames should be.
