Seeing bright spots and light headedness after fast walk on Treadmill?

for cardio, I usually do HiiT for 30min on the elliptical. (then I go home.)
but today all the elipticals i like were used.

so I decided to try a treadmill instead of the bike or other types of elipticals.
I've never done a treadmill.
I set it for 20min @ 15min/mile pace. it's a fast walk.

after I was done and started walking a few feet, I started seeing bright spots and felt a little light headedness.

doing HiiT on the elliptical, my heart rate is up and I'm breathing heavy. but no side effects after I'm done.
on the other hand, a fast walk on the treadmill wasn't strenuous at all. I didn't even break a sweat.

so WTF?

Slightly different set of muscles used on the treadmill as opposed to the elliptical and the bike. Those muscles aren't used to your cadence so your body strains itself to pump blood and oxygen to those muscles.
 
You should buy a pulse oxymeter and check your resting saturation level and your exercise saturation levels.
they can be bought for 30 dollars at amazon.

You should not be experiencing that when doing cardio.
 
Sounds like it could be one of 3 things:

1. Dehydration. Check your bp with a bp monitor. You can get one for about $40 at almost any pharmacy. Don't forget the batteries. Usually 4 AA but check on the box to make sure.

2. Low blood glucose. You can buy a glucose tester as well. Typically $15-$30.

3. Anemia. Not likely but possible. Need a blood test to check this.

Hypoxia? Very unlikely unless you have breathing difficulties or there is something seriously wrong with the air you're breathing.
 
What you described makes me a little concerned; it definitely doesn't sound normal. Make sure you drink plenty of water. If it continues to happen I would go get a checkup and discontinue using whatever machines causes those symptoms.

use a stop watch program and timed it myself.
10 sec = 6 beats = 60bpm
20sec = 20beats = 60bpm
1min = 59 bpm

hm.. 10% off?

Athletes typically have low resting heartrates. Sometimes even as low as 30bpm. 54bpm is fine.

Something is wrong with your math.
If you got 6 beats in 10 seconds that's 36 bpm not 60. 20 beats in 20 sec is 60bpm so that one is correct.
 
walking/running on treadmills made me disoriented after I got off the treadmill, since I suddenly would be moving around again, whereas before my legs were doing the same thing, but not moving me around.

took me a while to get used to it.
I didn't feel like that when using an elliptical.

That plus blood glucose or dehydration might possibly be the cause?
