All of the 2006 examples are way too extreme. SWAT for a fight? FBI/Homeland for blowing up an antfarm?

Teachers have sex with their students and get less than three years in prison. In reality, that last scenario would have ended up with Johnny's parents complaining and possibly suing the school for having unsafe working enviornments or something of the sort.

Also, I doubt it was SWAT that showed up to the gang fight, more likely just cops in tactical/riot gear.

Yeah, although the whole school system still is BS. At the public schools I went to any sign of blood in a fist fight (minor scrapes from falling included) means a week of suspension for both kids.

the 2006 examples are extreme, and the '56 examples too simplistic. nevertheless, very funny!

btw, another difference of viewpoint:

news report about 16-year-old having affair with hot english teacher.

woman reaction: that's awful, what a horrible woman, she should go to jail, that boy will need years of counciling.

man reaction: lucky kid! why didn't that ever happen to me?

kids reaction: next!

Any kind of fighting should be punished by suspension. If you want to fight, fine, but do it somewhere other than school.

you can't take a joke can you?

Apparently not. His post didn't come off as a joke, more like someone's rant about how "******" the world is lately, compared to before.

Even when it is one kid that instigates it with the other one just fighting back?

I'll give you that one. While backing off and getting a teacher is the "right" thing to do, it'll probably result in the kid having a bad social life at school.

No. The person who starts the fight should be hit with the suspension. In many areas, both students are suspended in a fight, even if one was just defending himself.
