If both sides gets some, but certainly not all, of what they want, the extreme flanks of both parties are pissed off as always, but the moderates are happy, and America wins. This is how shit gets done in divided government as opposed to the constant hail mary passes Republicans lob that have no chance of becoming law. Hopefully the new Republican leadership wakes up and kicks these freedom caucus assholes to the curb by eliminating the Hastert rule so we can get back to governing in Washington.

Republicans: Ok, we'll meet you half way and just want to repeal the individual mandate, so the law will just collapse on itself.

Since about 20008 every single action by republicans seemed to be either some kind of obstructionist scam or playing politics with very little effort at all of trying to find the common ground, or putting the American people first. The democrats tend to be pretty full of shit, but they are not playing the same game.

I brought up an example of Republicans refusing to compromise with Democrats when the Democrats were trying to compromise with Republicans. This example was supposed to illustrate to you how full of shit you are when you try to claim Democrats are as bad as Republicans when it comes to compromise. Unsurprisingly, the point was miles over your head, and undoubtedly still is.

Obamacare is a great example. Democrats reached out to Republicans by starting with the Republicans' own plan. GOP replied fuck you and zero voted for their own plan because fuck Obama.
