In the approach the arresting officer used in these two stops below:

Stop # 1.

Stop # 2.

Now, in stop #1, we don't know exactly what went down in the supposed road rage incident prior to the stop. Nevertheless, the arresting, off duty cop who was involved in the incident (and may well have contributed his own bit of "road rage" during it) was absolutely out of bounds when he didn't give the driver even time to take off his seat belt and comply before assaulting him.

In stop #2, I will say that if I were the arresting officer, I would have handled the stop pretty much exactly the same way . . . with patience, forbearance and tact. That said, directly coming from watching the vid of stop #1, the extreme deference he showed was hard to watch. 🙁

I'm not making any hard and fast, absolutist conclusions from these two incomplete and anecdotal videos, but the difference in approach was, on the surface, hard for me to personally stomach, watching one right after the other (Thanks, youtube, you purveyor of voyeuristic non-sexual, real life, Florida--man style pornography.)

Hey, I know, I know, this is 😛&N and folks on both sides of the ideological spectrum will now step in and yell at each other and nothing much will be "solved," but . . . UGH, is what I'm subjectively saying. 🙁

I'm sorry, you seem to have gotten very lost. This thread is about why what happened to one person is just totally unacceptable. No conditionals, just a flat out what the hell is this.

Why, pray tell, did you think it was about race? Is it a guilty conscience? Do you even have one of those any more?

@J.Wilkins: Blue Max is...special. He's Canadian, but he's got one of the worst cases of "helphelp i'm being oppressed, woe is me the white male!" I've ever seen. He shits all over every single thing his country has given him that keeps him alive and healthy, and he has a particular obsession with women and problems therewith.

I really cannot do him justice with a description; you have to look at his post history to get the real, pardon me, flavor of this crap.

To call his posting crap would be to insult the valuable service provided by healthy gut flora and the valuable fertilizing capability of feces.

Well in another thread he defended the statement that they are not by ignoring reality and going by sheer numbers ignoring that there are 4x as many whites as blacks in the nation.

If it's 50/50 and the white people outnumber the black people with 4:1 wouldn't you say that there may be something to it? If you say that it's not correct and it has more to do with poverty than race then let's use that metric in every instance, Blue_Max doesn't do that and from what I've seen with your argument that Blacks have a different attitude than whites you don't do that either.

That in and of itself makes you a blatant racist whether you want to admit it or not.

To Blue Max's credit (can't believe I just said that!) you'd have a better argument if these 2 stops were the exact same cop... But the first is from Florida and the second from Michigan, so you've got regional variations at play too.
 
^As far as I get it, he's remarking on just how utterly unacceptable the first interaction was and offering the second as a counterexample. Everything else is Maxi's imaginings because he feels the need to be a brave crusader against some ill-defined horde.

Every single time I post in reply to you, I'm offering a model on how to deal with someone who doesn't engage with the arguments they're presented with and instead imagines enemies to rail against.

That you still haven't managed to even get the basic form down is so disappointing that I'm going to have to withdraw my congratulations on being able to get your self-esteem back in one of your overlong videos.
