Boy it would be nice if this lunatic got in some serious trouble over this. He's been shooting his mouth off with violent rhetoric since the 2008 Democratic primaries where he insinuated he'd like to shoot Hillary and Obama with his shotgun. He's dangerous because as batshit crazy and fucktard stupid he is, some people actually listen to him. Some very stupid, close minded, and hateful people, but still some people. He basically just threatened a violent act against the President, which is enough to get him some prison time. And he's talking to the NRA, a group that has been going off the deep end lately itself.

sounds like a shining example of free speech to me.

no different than hanging/burning an effigy of Nixon, Ford, Carter, Regan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama.
Agreed. I think those people are assholes too.

It is cool.

In fact, its very cool.

There are a few people that still stand up for what is right and wrong. And like most sheeple, when you see someone standing up, you criticize them.

Why dont you just sit back down and keep quit.
Big difference between standing up for what's right and advocating/pantomiming assassination of those with whom you politically disagree. I expect that from the left; I expect better from the right.

Wow, total fail. This is in itself not at all enough to get him some jail time. It's merely enough to earn him a conversation with a couple of nice Secret Service agents. And the NRA is about the most level-headed public advocacy group in the country, protecting the one G_d-given right that protects all the others. That's hardly going off the deep end.

So essentially Nugent should be able to stand up and speak about what he believes in, but those who criticize him (you know, voicing their opinion on what they believe in) should sit back down and shut up?

He has every right to talk and act like a lunatic, and we have every right to call him a lunatic.

Ted Nugent is a lunatic, but I hardly think he needs to get in a ton of trouble over this. He does need to realize that such irresponsible rhetoric isn't okay, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

The NRA is not particularly level-headed though, at least not recently. Remember how some NRA executive claimed that Obama was not doing anything to restrict gun ownership in his first term (and was in fact lowering restrictions) as part of a massive conspiracy to ban guns in his second term? That's pretty loony.

Where in the bible is God pro-gun? They didn't even have guns in biblical times.

Posts such as yours typically are not responded too because they are so absurd that many of us wonder whether we should bother. Unlike yourself, and I am making an assumption that you feel others think like you do, people as a whole are much more intelligent than you give them credit for. To seriously think that an outspoken guy like Nugent is going to incite others to violence against the President is pretty much beyond comprehension for the majority of us. I get the impression you'd like speech (and thought too more than likely) sanitized, screened and approved by the 'authorities' in order to make our world more safe and orderly. How'd I do?

Uncle Ted is not dangerous, people that think like yourself are the real danger. Given the chance you'll be rounding folks up in the dead of night for thinking outside of the collective.

Used to be a fan, not so much these days. I can't tell if Ted's just been hitting the Faux too much, or if he's suffering from syphilis dementia.
He should do himself a favor and stfu.

We know he is a coward but check out the clip of the nuts he is riling up.

Maybe not arrest but how about some enhanced interrogation. We've been told it's legal.

Immediately following the event, Romney put Nugent back in the kennel carrier, strapped it to the roof of his tour bus and headed down the highway to his next wingnut rally. :p

Osama Bin Laden, Charles Manson, Jim Jones all were able to incite others to violence. Ted Nugent has a much more widespread audience than at least two of those. Fox News regularly puts this looney tunes character on tv. He's a nutty redneck, but he has an audience, some of which do idolize him. He's allowed to say whatever the fuck he wants right up until he starts threatening the well-being of others or trying to incite that violence. Which is what he's now done.

If you're so for speech not being sanitized, restricted, or stopped then I guess that means you were also a big supporter of the Occupy movement?

I do find it somewhat hilarious that someone who through his post history is clearly conservative would believe that conservative thought is outside some form of collective. Free thought has never been a strong point of the conservative mind.

I think you read something else, no implication of killing the president found...though TN is a little over the edge...

At a convention of the National Rifle Association over the weekend, the longtime gun advocate compared Obama and the Democrats to a coyote who should be shot.

"It isn't the enemy that ruined America," he said as he reaffirmed his endorsement of Republican front-runner Mitt Romney.

"It's good people who bent over and let the enemy in. If the coyote's in your living room pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault. It's your fault for not shooting him."

He accused the Obama administration of being "evil" and "America-hating."

"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," he said angrily. "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."

He doesn't come right out and say it but he is definitely implying it.

Ted Nugent is out of his fucking mind.

Hyperbole much? He's inflammatory but what he said does not in any way imply he should be killed.."chop their heads off in November" is clearly a reference to voting them out of office, the other is just as raging however nowhere in the sentence is Bambam or Dems in general mentioned...and as with the latter statement using a euphemism to refer to getting them out of office doesn't constitute any kind of threat.

Frankly if TN really wanted to shoot Bambam I honestly believe he could pull it off...

Why will he be dead or in jail within a year if Obama is re-elected?

I think you should worry about people shooting you as you pick your daughter up from school today. I'm not saying I'm going to shoot you. I'm just saying that it's an unlikely outcome you should be aware of. People who disagree with me tend to get shot. Again, I'm not saying I will shoot you. I'm just saying somebody will shot you, but only because you disagree with me.

Yep. Totally not a threat.

Ask him...probably trying to imply that he will attempt to take away his guns at some point and when they do they will either have to kill him or put him in jail...but again, ask him since nothing in that statement implies killing bambam

Was it an act by the conservative thought police when the SS investigated some people's remarks about Bush?

I, personally, don't think this kind of stuff warrants any kind of investigation... but let's not turn this into what it never was; a partisan or ideological pissing contest.

But we do those so well here!!!

The SS should look into it, that is their job. After they do, they will find nothing wrong happened and move on to something vital - hiring prostitutes.

The Secret Service has not yet determined whether Romney gave Nugent his rabies shot. ;)

When will Holder investigate the Black Panthers for their "Dead or Alive" stunt in Florida? I won't hold by breath.

The sooner we get that racist ass-hat out of the DoJ the better.
