Seattle officer punches girl in face during jaywalking stop

lol I love how the pink bitch learns her place pretty quickly after the punch. If a girl deserves a punch then she should get it, simple as that. I hate it when people say it's not ok to hit a girl.

Also, people have to get ticketed for jaywalking sometimes, or else people will just keep doing it. If you're guaranteed to just get a warning, there will be idiots just running across the street all over (not that there isn't already). What's the point in having a law that is not enforced?

QFT...in any altercation if someone is coming up to you and putting their hands on you; your best bet is to knock them the fuck out first and figure it out later.

Personally anyone giving a cop a hard time like this (and I don't agree with most cops) should just be shot on sight. If you have a problem, take it to court.

Wow... "This video or group may contain content that is inappropriate for some users, as flagged by YouTube's user community."

I think the only people the video is inappropriate for is people who don't want to face the reality that you don't assault police officers.

Oops.. just signed in, I guess from the way the commentary was done I can see why someone might have flagged it. Even though he didn't cuss or anything he made it clear he was splitting words pretty closely 🙂 This commentator is awesome

A bit more on this to think about:

Possibility of a bystander with a gun....

http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=76&sid=332810

Another question I have, instead of videotaping like a bunch of buffoons, why didn't someone in the crowd try to calm the 2 girls down? I did see/hear that one person (boyfriend?) did try. But not one other person there has any sense? Just wow.....

Because today it's been proven that bystanders are more likely to video/take pictures of a crime (even violent) in progress than to call 911.

It's sad times we live in if anyone remotely thinks we are a society.

I call the police a lot and get involved in crap a lot.

I have been told by a dispatcher even once "why do you care" in regards to a domestic fight taking place during my dog walk.

It's fucked up.

...in the 3100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way...

This part right here sets the seen for the rest of the article. I don't even need to watch the video to know how this went down.

Fully side with the cop. You can't to start a physical altercation with a police officer and expect them to be ok with it

I just saw the video on the morning news since Al Sharpton is raising a stink about it now, and realized one thing... the officer was just playing a round of Punch-Dub with the woman, as there was a red VW Bug clearly passing by in the background.

I couldn't see the video yesterday, but while I was reading the article I thought to myself sarcastically, "Hmm, wonder what race they are?" Video did not disappoint.

Only thing the officer should have done different was issue more verbal commands.

"Stop resisting"

Yeah he didn't seem to be initially forceful enough in taking control of the situation IMO, especially verbally. It's why the gorilla in the pink got ballsy. The punch cleared up who was in control, though!

The officer did his job.

Not really sure why people are getting their panties in a bunch over it.

When you don't listen to police and interfere with them bad things happen.

Edit: After watching the video it doesn't make me wonder one bit why this happened. What kind of parent raises these children.

she was getting all wound up by the people around her which caused her to resist. If they hadn't been around it probably would have just been a ticket issued

I seriously hate Al Sharpton. He is one of the most racist people on the planet.

you push a cop, you deserve to be punched for interfering/resisting with an officer carrying out his duties, and he should be legally protected for such an action. Should we expect all cops to just hope that the next person who goes to push them doesn't pull out a knife or gun first? I have sympathy for those who are abused by psycho cops, like when they drag people out of their car during traffic stops for no reason, or who taze you for asking why you were pulled over, but physical resistance requires a response of physical force.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

Morons. It could have been a lot worse. Cop handled it okay, though like TallBill said, I think he should have made more verbal commands.

At the end, did they say "let's smash him?". LOL. And her purse probably got stolen.

Cop said he punched her because she was grabbing him, but they say "no she didnt!" "no she wuznt!". Maybe they should review their recordings.

Good. Both of them deserve to be punched in the face repeatedly, and hard. When an officer asks you to stand somewhere, you need to comply. Likely he may have just given them a warning if they hadn't come back with attitude, you do that it's guaranteed just to escalate. The entire video she was struggling, pushing him away, grabbing at him and fighting. Doesn't matter if she sucked at it or was weaker, at any time when both were near they could've gone for his gun or tazer or pepper spray, he did what he needed to in order to get one out of the fight.
