Can't wait to hit up new breweries! Stopping at Rogue on the drive up and I know almost nothing about NW beers other than them.

It doesn't matter what section you're in, as long as you're close to a concession stand and can order many servings of the garlic fries they had. Holy shit I couldnt get enough of those...

Thanks for the information. I located the seats I purchased on the linked image above, and with the angle the section sees the field, I'm good! I generally like to get a good mid-priced seat on the lower level of a stadium, but it also depends on the group, and for this group cheap is better.

At home at Wrigley Field, one really needs to know the stadium to buy good seats. I've always disliked tickets.com broker for sales, they have always struggled and provided sub-par service to Ticketmaster, and now with Ticketmaster's ability for us to pick the actual seats individual instead of only the option of "best available"... :)

Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely throw them to the group!

I prefer to sit on the lower level at Safeco, not really a bad seat on the lower level it seems.

I got a chuckle out of the umbrella stuff as well. Most people here don't use them, it's more light jackets with hoods or ball caps.

Chicago people are morons when it rains. A light drizzle and every woman is wearing knee highs and sidewalks are dangerous from all the umbrellas. Being a head taller than everyone is scary Lol.

Back to the stadium. Any good local bars near the park that are a must? Or parking tips? What can you get decent tickets on stubhub for?

Ive gone to 30+ mlb games a year as of late and plan on staying close to this. Will become a temporary Mariners fan as long as the white Sox are not in town.

Not sure on good bars, but I do know there's a bunch of them in the area - as for tickets, stubhub has some decent deals- also watch craigslist. Since the Mariners haven't been winning recently, usually half way through the season the tickets are a lot cheaper. Also, depending on where you're wanting to sit- on most (all?) Monday home games, the upper level seats are half off- I usually will walk up and get a ticket at the window to avoid fees etc.

Cool. For Sox games I could pick up the best upper deck tickets for $15 the day before. About 5-10 times a year I'll sit behind the dugout, which run $40-70, and about once a year I'll get scout seats behind the plate for $250.

I moved out of Seattle about five years ago and unless it has changed dramatically in that time there are still lots of umbrellas if it is actually raining. I'm 6'3" and short Asian women with golf umbrellas are pretty much out to jab you in the face as often as possible so far as I can tell.

The thing about Seattle is that that very fine drizzle that occasionally happens elsewhere happens a lot in the fall/winter months and when that happens very few people use an umbrella.

Yeah there's "diamond club" tickets that run about $250->$400 or so I think right behind home- open bar/buffet included- I've not sat there yet but maybe this year

Its similar in Chicago. Pretty cool but full of corporate people who don't care about the game.

Cant believe they actually sell a seat like that. It better be at a huge discount.

Sluggers. FX McCrory's. But these should be obvious to anyone who wonders around outside the Stadium.

I personally hate sluggers. I'm absolutely sure 100 people will die there someday in a fire. But it's really popular and you gotta go at least once

You're gonna love Safeco, it's a beautiful field. Hopefully, you'll get a game with King Felix on the mound, he is phenomenal!

Last time I went, I met a bunch of friends at Pyramid Alehouse, and had a great time.

The joys of Wrigley! Former Mayor Daley is a White Sox fan and there were a lot of tensions between him and Cubs ownership, which at the time was the Tribune Company. Long story short, White Sox received a lot of public money to build a new stadium, Bears received a lot of public money to rebuild their stadium, Cubs were repeatedly denied public funding for stadium renovations. City government also declared parts of the stadium historic landmarks meaning some park changes must get additional approved by the government.

But legend goes that Mayer Daley was once given a ticket to Wrigley Field in one of those seats! Ha!

Ah, nothing beats a game at Wrigley, though, obstructed views and all. Taking off work to catch a day game in the middle of summer.

Watching a game at Wrigley is awful unless youre completely shitfaced. And you'll have to do it elsewhere unless you really like old style. Forget good food and enjoy 1,000 dudes crammed into a 10x30 room peeing into a trough.

The stadium needs to go.
