Just a heads up. I called Seagate shop support and finally got through (30 minutes on hold or so). I asked why my order was still in process and was basically told their system was overwhelmed and they received too many orders. Everyone should find out in the next 24 hours whether or not they will get theirs. I asked if I was going to be one of the people who will not be receiving their hard drive and he did not know. If you don't get one shipped to you, there will be something sent in an email to make up for the error. The guy basically said this was the first time this has ever happened and that he didn't know what was going to be sent out. I'm thinking a coupon.....
 
Thanks for taking one for the team, Chadspur. Well, at least we'll know soon...I'm hoping that it isn't a coupon which gives us some money off of already overpriced stuff in their store. Ah, the joys of dealhunting...

It was a clearance per the rep that I talked to. The system got overwhelmed with orders. That is all.
 
I just called them to find out if we were any closer to having our answer. He said another 24 hours from 12pm MST today we would know. Seems like they are having a really hard time figuring this out. 'Orders will be fulfilled in the order that they were placed' is what he said with the others being sent a 'special offer' by email. I asked if the special offer would be targeted towards the item that I had purchased and he had no idea.

Indeed, at least 30 minutes on hold reavealed no new information.

Yep, got mine, too! 10% off...these guys are worse than Dell but shopping the deals, we know this is part of it. I won't be touching Seagate store for any reason. No how, no way!

I agree, an epic failure on their part.
 
the $41.98 whatever random extra dollar they charged me is still sitting in my bank account as a debit but it's "Pending". It better get honored back to me.. I don't want to get stuck in a system of filing a claim from them and all that crap. I just got over with all that from Amazon for charging me 80 bucks for prime which caused my bank account to overdraft 4 times.. still waiting on that check of $152 too.. :|

I ordered around 90 minutes after the OP's post and I got canceled as well. Oh well, C'est la vie

Next good deal is always around the bend.
