I ordered less than an hour after the OP, and ordered only 80GB drives and all were canceled.

It's bunk.

They clearly have real-time inventory management. Product went in and out of stock. The drive I ordered was in stock for hours after I ordered. There is no way that they "over sold" at the amount they are claiming.

So what they have done is harvested email addresses and sent out a lame "promo." It's bait and switch.

I can understand a pricing error. Stuff happens. But this is shameless.

As far as I'm concerned, all they've done is assured that the next hard-drive I do buy won't be a Seagate.

Yup, most likely.

Doesn't matter to me, I don't buy Seagate drives very often. I think all I have been buying lately are WD and Samsung. Guess I'll keep it this way.

I placed three orders. Only one of them was for the 80GB drives. It is the only one I have gotten a cancellation email for. Has anyone else got a cancellation notice or a shipment notice for non-80GB orders?

I ordered on Saturday even before the OP posted the deal and my hard drive was still canceled (120gb). Although, it was canceled after most peoples' were canceled.

I didn't even get the 10% off e-mail that people are supposedly getting. Seagate sucks ass.

Yeah, I just double-checked, and all three of my orders have been cancelled, even though I have gotten only one cancellation email.
