Sea Shepherd's Captain Paul now an International Fugative

It has to become part of Whale Wars. However the liability of having contact with a known fugitive might be too much for the network to want to be involved in.

People who cut the fins off sharks and dump them in the ocean still alive to drown are dirtbags and I'm thrilled he ran into them. Unfortunately not hard enough, as they didn't sink.

I like him more after reading that article.

I'd actually respect him if he took his direct actions against a nation who might retaliate rather then meekly try to avoid controversy. It's one thing to harass Japanese or Icelandic boats, another to fuck with the Russians or French who would sink him. He's a coward who runs away anytime someone confronts him with legal or possible physical threats.

He's an "international fugitive" and it sounds way cooler than anything you've been called.

While I don't always agree with his methods, I agree with his message. It's sad what these "fishing" and "whaling" boats can get away with. With the technology that we have now, the animals/mammals have no chance. It's sad.

Send this guy after him.

Someone has to do something.. I'm glad there are people like him out there going head to head with the real criminals..

Sharkfinners and Whalers.. kill them all.. I say cut off the arms and legs of the sharkfinners and toss them overboard and see how they like it..

so you want to kill close to 50,000 Faroese?

sharkfinners are prt stupid. i never understood it personally as someone who has fished for shark. shark is simply to delicious to throw the whole animal away just for the fin. fin soup is so fucking overrated.

Never had it. Never will.

It's sad that the law is protecting the real criminals here. It's the whalers and shark finers that need to be arrested. For all I care their ships could be torpedoed. In fact I would gladly fund a nuclear sub to the Sea Shepherd people if I had the money. 😛

What I don't understand is that while he's willing to ram another ship, he's not willing to arm his ships with things like torpedoes and just outright sink other ships?

Come on. If you're going to do it, do it right.

A whole shark takes up a lot more room in the cooler and is worth less per pound than the fins. Simple economics.

It's unmanaged and unsustainable fishery. It's been proven time and time again that it occurs with no regard for size, species or age and that many other species are impacted in the process.

If it's simply about economics, well, they're well on their way to killing that golden goose.

That's how I feel about it; you have to maintain sustainable fishing.
