Hello.
As im slowly deciding on components for a new system, needed some clarification on the specifications of SATA and SCSI.
Are SCSI 160 hard drives similar to SATA drives? One has a maximum transfer rate of 1.60gbps and the other 1.50gbps? And similarly with ultraSCSI320 and SATA II are they 3.20gbps and 3.00gbps?
From what ive read previously, high end systems have trouble breaking the 50-60mbps barrier. So a SCSI controller at 160=1.60gbps is faster than anything needed (a u160 controller) in a home system?
