Most of the time they get it there in 2 or 3 days for me but they have borked stuff before. I would never ship a Laptop with them though.

the holidays were definitely the wrong time to do this

You're right, I should have picked a better time for my PC to need warranty service.

No, you should have picked a better carrier.

Whats wrong with the laptop, anyway?

A couple of months ago, I sent a regular sized letter using first class registered mail (cost me $12), which according to the post office is their most secure form of mailing and will get to the destination in 4 days. The letter wasn't delivered to the destination (~500 miles away) until exactly 14 business days later and the entire time the tracking number I got wasn't updated on their website. So much for their "most secure form of mailing". Never again!

maybe just maybe you print the shipping label online and stick it. i've never ever had problem with usps doing that.

however UPS lost my application to the university i'm currently in. they delivered it to the wrong place and showed delivered. you cannot imagine the problmes that caused in my application since it was late and ups showed delivered (it turned out ok though). then ups also lost my scanner (from newegg).

so by my anecdoatal evidence usps >>>>> ups.

things are lost by every company. get over it. and don't ship anything valuable without insurance.
