No kidding!!

$30/mo. for the pill or the patch is a far cry less expensive than having a baby or an abortion procedure.

I am not against contraception at all.

Maybe they were just trying to save your soul, Conjur.

You know, if we vote for Kerry we're all going straight to hell. Well, first Dick Cheney will personally coordinate an attack on our homes in retaliation for our mistake, then we'll all go straight to hell.

One question for the Bush supporters. How can anyone be against abortion but for the death penalty?

Hypocrites.

Conjur- see youd like Jesus

he healed the sick
fed the masses
resisted the temptation of greed by satan
and the only time he got mad was at the money changers in the temple.

dont blame him that people took his good word and twisted....do yourself a favor and go see Dogma
Oh, Jesus was a wonderful preacher. He had much charisma. He changed the world in a way I don't think any other man has. But that's just it...he was just a man. Not a son of God...not a God...not Lord...just a man. A preacher like many before him and like many after him.

The ones who distort his teachings are the ones I have a problem with. The ones who preach hate and bigotry and violence in the name of the Lord. The ones who seek to squelch opinions different from their beliefs.

Then can all "Cheney".

well, i will disagree with you on your status of Jesus...my faith says I am right, but like my chemistry teacher said about faith, if you believe and are wrong, what have you lost in the end?
I don't bet in Pascal's Wager...keep on movin' down that line.

or in another way...."and in the end, the love you take is the love you make"
It's:

"And In The End, The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You Make"

The Beatles RULE! 😀

as a lutheran, we study the history of martin luther and how he reformed the church, kind of ironic that i bring this up since its reformation day. The catholics were really bad about distortions in the middle ages...they started the whole idea of buying your way to heaven....

perhaps we will be lucky and he will return while we arrive and maybe he might change your mind....

I am of the type that believe its Gods job to judge...and those here on earth have no business doing so...(religious sense not legal, not gonna use that as a defense in court 😉 )
I was Catholic for 30 years. No organized religion makes any sense. I see it all as the joke it is. And, actually, watching Passion of the Christ solidified my opinion that Jesus was just a man. Not sure if you read my LONG review of it...probably somewhere in the archives here or in ATOT.

not really hypocrites....see what crime has an unborn child broken?

im not a huge death penalty supporter...but I am open to it for multiple murderers. and the evidence has to be 100% not circumstantial.

I dont think its a deterent...except for the sicko murderer...he/she wont be killing anymore. its a punishment

I can understand that some people think having sex is wrong. But to punish people for getting pregnant* rather than promoting safe sex seems absolutely bizaar.

Do you get this upset when you receive ads on your windshield for 'work from home!' or for the latest local store/club/band/etc?

America is alone in the modern industrialized world as the only nation that still uses the death penalty. There are many problems with the death penalty as administered in the U.S. including the fact that people of different races are either more or less likely to be sentenced to death for the same crimes based on their race.

" Two separate studies conducted in 1987 by The Stanford Law Review and Tufts University found that 350 people sentenced to death in this century were later proven innocent, including 23 who were actually executed."

What crime did they break? People make mistakes.

How is "Thou shalt not kill" selectively applied?

Have you read much along those lines? Like Elegant Universe, The Seven Daughters of Eve: The Science That Reveals Our Genetic Ancestry, or The Journey of Man: A Genetic Odyssey?

I haven't read those books, but i did read about that discusses creation and science.

Have you heard about when bacteria is looked at under extreme magnification, that its movement system is an electrical motor...and we are basically bioelectrical machines with a massive capacity for memory and learning.

i dont understand natures entropy tendancies weighed against evolution.

doesn't new male mammal A have to have a new female mammal A to mate with so that the species is continued if its new?

did blacks evolve separately from whites? If so then how are the species genetically compatible.

You can't mate a human with another animal....therefore blacks, whites, etc...are all of the same species so we are equal.

Look at the known written history of man..about 6000 years, right? look at quickly we have advanced.

I have read darwin's origin of species and found him to be a racist...his writings were critical in the founding of communism and nazism. science just cant prove evolution to be real....like the song "darwins burden" said on Dieters Dance Party..."monkey monkey, where is the monkey?"

I have a pretty solid test...there would be no mistake where my litmus test is concerned.

Read those last two books listed. They're not very long but VERY educational as to the DNA history of man.

Q] From Conjur

Read those last two books listed. They're not very long but VERY educational as to the DNA history of man.[/quote]

but can they explain how inert matter became alive and managed to reproduce itself using exact replication and how evolution didnt hoke it up....

I mean...how can you have a protein floating around if a cold front moves and freezes it...or a heatwave starts and dries up all the ooze? or like the itsy bitsy spider and down came the rain and washed the protein out.

I'm sure glad you let all the so called "Jesus Freaks" know your feelings. After all, I'm sure every Christian/Catholic does that sort of thing

Having gotten that out of the way, I'd be pissed if anyone tapped or otherwise placed a sign on my car. I don't spend 3 hours a week washing and waxing my car for someone to defile it like that. I feel for yah, Conjur 😉

Why not? Both are soliticing you by putting material on your car? I get annoyed by ALL ads/flyers placed on my car, regardless of the source. You get more upset over one than the other because, simply, you're a bigot.

Wait a second. You're not a bigot if you are anti-Christian or anti-Catholic, remember?

Oh that's right. I forgot that the the US is all about acceptance and tolerance... except to Christianity. Then it's just the opposite.

The last two focus on the history of Homo Sapiens...going back to about 150,000 years ago. Also raises a bit that point you brought up of interspecies reproduction.

If we knew the answer to how inert matter became alive, we'd be able to do amazing things. But, work is afoot in that area. Check out exobiology. A good starter:

Hmm...one involves an advertisement or a charitable cause and non-defacement of a vehicle, the other involves bigotry, lies, and defacement of a vehicle.

Hey, dimwitted moron! What part of "defacing a vehicle" do you not understand?

his writings were critical in the founding of communism and nazism.

You creationists crack me up. This appeal to emotion does nothing to help your argument, in fact, it makes you look like a ignorant tit. Ever hear of 'The Hitler Rule'?
Do you really need me to list concepts and theories that have been the building blocks for beneficial as well as destructive things?

science just cant prove evolution to be real

It's a pity you aren't a little more educated on Darwin's work. The books conjur cited are all good reads, in particular The Seven Daughters of Eve, but I somehow doubt you possess either the openmindedeness or the attention span to delve into all that. Let's keep it short and sweet - go get this month's National Geographic and actually read the main article.

this link suggests that they used energy to simulate lightning to make their acids in a controlled environment...but then the site where this occured was in a frozen ocean.

so then you agree with darwin, and that blacks are inferior to whites?
