TOo bad that's pre-rendered video, not actual gameplay footage. Looks nice though. 360 > PS3

What makes you think it's pre-rendered?

He's a pissed off xbox360 fanboy 😛 , piss off that MSoft didnt show anything amazing yet 🙂

MS got perfect dark...
Sony got killzone 2......

hmmm

Haha, Xbox fanboy I am, I admit that.

Sony just hasn't done much to impress me lately. The PS3 specs are impressive, but until Sony gets their stuff together in the online department, they won't impress me or a lot of other people. I have a PS2, bought it before my Xbox and they were both out when I did buy so I had to make the choice. But the day Live came out, I bought an Xbox, Live kit, and a couple games, and I stopped playing my PS2 altogether. It's been collecting dust ever since.

I'll be all over the PS3 if they can do what MS did with online console gaming. And as far as that Killzone 2 video goes, prerendered or not, it's farkin' sexy.

I will believe it when i play it at the store.

Same here. I can't figure out how one would play that game with such randomness going on. How are they going to structure the game if the gameplay is that free.

The only thing left for Sony to do is build a 32:9 3840x1080p display with dual-HDMI in just for the PS3. That would be totally awesome, especially if they used flexible transmissive TFT technology and gave it a slight concave shape. That would rock for any first-person games.

If it wasn't pre-rendered, Sony would have made it the highlight of their conference, and would have told the audience at least 100 times that it was a real time demo.

TRUE!

Such a good point....I'm disappointed now. 🙁 lol 😛

Not impressed, Not impressed at all.

The only thing that makes me smile is that most games will have HD support.

oh well... we'll get there and beyond eventually. probably very soon too

Impressive, quite easily could be done in real time. You guys seem to be forgetting that the video card in these next gen consoles is more than twice as fast as a 6800 Ultra SLI setup. We are gonna see a screw sony and ps3 thread when Halo 3 trailers come up, so dont worry xbox people, your day will come.

ooo, speaking of which, will PS3 retain complete backwards compatibility? *crosses fingers*

Yes. It'll have backwards compatability all the way back to the PS1.

I'm wondering what MS is meaning by backwards compatability with top-selling games? Which games are those and which games are being left out?

The Xbox360 seems like a half generation machine. Typically, half generation machines don't fare well. Especially if the manufacturer released an in generation machine.

Errrr...No. MS is introducing the 360 with a much larger game lineup than they did with the original Xbox plus they still look to have a huge lead in online gaming as Sony still doesn't seem to know what they want to do beyond having online connectivity.

This looks like it is going to be an awesome next-gen of gaming. I'm actually tempted to get both a PS3 and Xbox360 now.
