scrapbooking!?

Do any of your wives or significant others scrapbook?

My wife just started a new business, it's a HUGE investment and i'm kinda worried.

I'm not sure how many people out there scrapbook.

I'm hoping there's a large market of possible customers instead of a tight niche.

Comfort me. Please.

yes... tons of women do it... its very popular! i wouldnt worry... its the big "in" craft to do

I'm not sure what the profit margin is for the supplies but I will tell you that a LOT of women that I know are into it. Ages 22-35 seems to be the most popular but many 35-50 are starting to get into it as well. I think it's a pretty popular thing right now.

Stupidest hobby ever. No one I know does it.

It seems to be trendy right now, though... Like beanie babies were a few years ago, for a season or two.

scrapbook is a now

scrapbooking is a nonsense word

keeping a scrapbook is something chicks do

I know about a dozen women who do it using brand CM. They even have entire weekends where they do nothing but work on the scrapbooks! Some quit doing it because if you go to a weekend event run by a CM salesperson you may not use any other material except what CM sells, even a pair of scissors.

It's a hot thing right now, but I don't see it lasting. It seems to take up too much time for the amount of progress that is made. From what I can tell, the people who are into it get about one page done in two hours.

I still don't get it.

You were pretty much right before. It's making a book with little mementos and crap in it, and putting frilly decorations and glitter and sh!t around it to decorate.

You make crap like this.

Baking pies - legitimate hobby.
Making pretty pictures of little kids watching you bake pies - stupid hobby.

I love to do it, and we only have one real scrapbooking store in town. All the items are expensive once you add them up.

It is very very time consuming.

Oh oh you guys, you have to watch DIY channel. they have scrapbooking shows... very cool. save you a little money.

I flip between that and food network.

Scrapbooking, to me, is the most ignorant waste of time ever. I would elaborate, but I have to get back to Madden 2005.

scrapbooking? wtf is that, not even a word is my answer. waste of time!! do something useful with your life, make a stupid webpage to hold your pics if you REALLY want that (cheaper too). cooking is a good hobby (mmmmm, hungry lol,) as long as you dont waste food. seriously, get a life (how ironic that I'm posting this on a forum eh?)
