Computer science teacher left, long story, but he's gone now. This is a high school AP course. They offer 3 years of programming classes, usually 90% drop out after first year. They also offer a Cisco network certification class.
A substitute was hired for these last 8 or so weeks of school and knows very little about computer science but administration says he has a good understanding  (class is about learning java, he doesn't know how to compile)
They're asking the 2nd and 3rd year students to teach all the 1st year students. We don't get any credit, participation grade, etc.
Why should I do the teacher's job of teaching? I have NO incentive at all!
I'm doubting I could get anything on my transcript for helping out when they're in need...
Have any reccomendations on what I should do?
