Trump may be playing the frontman in the news with regard to that "fake whistleblower" conspiracy against him along with his other self-inflicted criminal endeavors, but as has been mentioned before it's McConnell that's continually doing the real damage to the nation what with his paranoid obsession toward having his party rule the nation from a minority status with the very wealthy backing his play.

It needs to be understood that Wealth & military might ruled humanity for thousands of years prior to the rise of Democracy led by the American Revolution. Tyranny was our natural state. It's also the very nature of Capitalism. To own is to rule as far as they're concerned. What was once the Divine Right of Kings is now the Divine Right of Capital.

Second lawyer on Team Whistleblower now confirms they are representing “multiple whistleblowers” (more than 2). I guess the threat of execution didn’t work Donnie. Keep ‘em coming.

If it's an Obama and/or Mexican judge it doesn't count.

Uh oh

Jackson, an appointee of President Barack Obama, instructed the White House to preserve “all records of efforts by White House or other executive branch officials to return, ‘claw back,’ ’lock down’ or recall White House records” about dealings with foreign officials.

Multiple is more than 1, but using that word means they're trying to suggest more than 2.

I gotta say that I did not see the "Rick Perry is the real criminal mastermind" part of this story coming. Gonna need a bigger bus. Running out of room under there..

Yes, the call was Perfect...............and also Rick Perry made him do it. Makes perfect sense. "My subordinate made me do it", supposedly to discuss a LNG plant that never came up as a topic of conversation according to the infamous not-quite-transcript of Trump's perfect call.

AND!...let's not forget, the terrible call that Perry forced him to make against his will, was also a Perfect call.

This is why Republicans are terrified of Trump, they know damn well if he goes down he will take as many down with him as he can. If they dare remove him he will spend the rest of his life trying to ruin them.
If the party turned their back on him, the base would too. He is just the star player on their team right now, if the team dumps him, the fans will stay with the team. Just like any other sports team/player.

I hope you're not talking about Trump. He commandeered the GOP base & the Party along with it. If he goes down he'll take them with him.

Will half the staff in the admistration become whistleblowers/state witnesses to escape?

Lets get all the people who wanted to lock Hillary up over her email server in here to justify this.

That's odd, I swear that conservatives were very against the State Department engaging in government business through private servers.

I wonder what changed.

These are precarious times. The administration is playing chicken, and they may win. There is already enough to nail Trump in a rational world, but will it happen? If Congress starts trying to go after the co-conspirators, what happens? It seems to me it will force the hand of Congressional Republicans. What if they don't turn on Trump? Either Democrats surrender or we go to war?

Those Republicans have a tight rope to walk.
History regarding big things tells us at some point some of them will stop walking the rope and do what is right. After that more follow.

That is one possible outcome. I think Democrats currently have the power to force that or force war. By war I don't necessarily mean physical civil war, but it would mean not hiding behind the guise of a solvent governmental system.

We're far past history for guidance. We're in a post-fact altered reality where history, logic and rational decision making are no longer values. They are annoyances.

Apparently the State Department personnel orchestrated this whole scheme over WhatsApp on personal devices.

*looks at old white people in question*

Chances that all this has been backed up to cloud accounts = 100%

Haha snipped from a cnn story:

Like most of his phone calls that occur before noon, Trump conducted the conversation from the third-floor White House residence, where he spends most mornings watching television and consulting advisers by phone.
Sitting in his private quarters, Trump wasn't surrounded by the usual clutch of aides who would accompany him in person during a call with a foreign leader made from the Oval Office. Instead, a number of aides were listening in the Situation Room or on their own lines.

He never stops working.
I can only imagine what panic buttons & how many panicked phone calls were made to get someone near the President.

Amazing that the “fuck your feelings” crowd supports this.
The Presidents feels got hurt

Trump: The whistleblower "must apologize to me"
President Trump is reacting to a report that a White House official who listened in on his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky characterized the conversation as "crazy" and "frightening."
Trump claimed the whistleblower — who cited the White House official in a memo — spoke out before he or she knew Trump would "release the exact transcript."
"The Whistleblower and others spoke BEFORE seeing the Transcript. Now they must apologize to me and stop this ridiculous impeachment!" Trump tweeted
