I was waiting for the putrid orange pus bag to call out Mitt.
Is this so damning for the Repubs? WTF is cheeto going to do, call out
every Repub senator/congressman/woman that calls him a gnarly POS?

Come on Repubs, show some spine. Tell the world what this faker really is.
You will feel better about yourself.
Exactly. The problem with instantly going full throttle is that its hard to escalate from there. I mean, what is he going to do if Mitt does it again. And again. Maybe even a second R. Full throttle gets old fast.

I agree. The republican "braintrust"/talking heads cannot keep up fast enough
with this blowback to cheeto. They really need to dogpile on the pus bag ,
and its possible he will just self-immolate. You know, maybe a nuclear meltdown.

I’d be happy if just a few banded together and said “if you continue you may be impeached”

Honestly, anytime trump does one of these tweets where he attacks someone who, thinks people involved in corruption should be held accountable, the person he is attacking should simply respond, “and this is why you should be impeached” and just leave it at that.

The problem is the base who attends his rallies lives this shit. He is really only speaking to those voters at this point.

Saw an RNC ad running locally today against Slotkin attacking her for not fixing healthcare and drug prices but instead supporting investigations of Trump.

Regarding the last 20-odd posts, another thing to remember is that an exchange of $thing for assistance with the 2020 election is not necessary for it to be illegal. It's illegal just asking. Not asking for an exchange, not asking and getting accepted. Just asking. Illegal. He's asked twice.

Too simple for Trump addled minds. Trump knew it was illegal when he did it. He told the world he'd take campaign help from a foreign govt & went even further, strongarming Ukraine into playing his game. There's no excuse for it. It's the same with all the acts of obstruction cited in the Mueller report. He simply has no respect for the Iaw. With Barr & McConnell covering his ass he doesn't need to have any, either. I's reduced to whatever he thinks he can get away with. And we get the big lie that he's doing it to root out corruption.

I figure if Trump were really interested in rooting out Ukrainian corruption he'd ask them to re-open the investigation of Paul Manafort, currently doing federal time for corruption stemming from his time in the Yanukovych govt. Probably not.

Its pretty clear Trumps thinking is like this

1. Motherfrickers cant indict me, cause rulz.
2. Only play is Impeachment.
3. I got Sentate locked down hard.
4. ....
5. I am untouchable.
6. nothing to lose in terms of criming towards reelection.
7. Profit.

That is why he feels comfortable calling for China going into the Bidens on live TV.
No limits.

edit : Seriously. A president with a Senate that refuses Impeachment is untouchable. Right?

That appears to be a generic ad they're running in every state against Democrat candidates, I saw the same ad aired locally in two states this weekend.

The Toddler-in-Chief reacts poorly to the slightest diversion from fawning sycophancy:

Demanding the impeachment of a senator while he himself is threatened with impeachment is just Trump's version of, "Oh yeah? Well, you're one too!. In true Trumpian rubber/glue schoolyard fashion.

Rick Perry as the patsy is a hilarious turn of events.

I gotta say that I did not see the "Rick Perry is the real criminal mastermind" part of this story coming. Gonna need a bigger bus. Running out of room under there..

Yes, the call was Perfect...............and also Rick Perry made him do it. Makes perfect sense. "My subordinate made me do it", supposedly to discuss a LNG plant that never came up as a topic of conversation according to the infamous not-quite-transcript of Trump's perfect call.

AND!...let's not forget, the terrible call that Perry forced him to make against his will, was also a Perfect call.

This is why Republicans are terrified of Trump, they know damn well if he goes down he will take as many down with him as he can. If they dare remove him he will spend the rest of his life trying to ruin them.

"Day 1. It never happened.
Day 2. Maybe it happened.
Day 3. It wasn't me.
Day 4. Yes, it was me but it wasn't wrong.
Day 5. I'd do it again, and ask China too.
Day 6. Rick Perry made me do it."

https://twitter.com/PeterGleick/stat...662494720?s=19

Rick Perry was worth waiting for. It adds so many wrinkes and possibilities to this narrative, for 7,8, 9 and beyond. Whoops, DWTS, and all the other hits will be recycled into the echosphere.

Day 9: it’s Obama’s fault.
Day 14: Mueller and Hunter Biden were in cahoots.
Day 17: Rosie O’Donnell needs to be impeached.
Day 19: This wouldn’t have happened if Mexico agreed to pay for the wall.

If this wasn't the POTUS this pathetic tweet would be really funny.

The Deep State...Bless his black, non existent heart...

What Trump routinely maligns as the "deep state' is actually one of the US governments greatest strengths: Groups of professional public employee's whose responsibility is NOT to advance the careers of ANY politician, but to faithfully follow the Constitution, duly passed laws and regulations that spring from those statutes.

I Guess Republicans were against the Prosecutor General before they were for him.

https://www.portman.senate.gov/newsr...ommitment-help

Someone needs to press Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Mark Kirk (R-IL)

Ask them specifically about why they wanted the Ukraine prosecutor out then. Just like Biden. Ask them why they are now saying NOTHING now..

Goerge W Bush appointed Hunter to the Amtrak Board of Directors. Was Bush fooled by liberal propaganda?

Maddow had a good piece Friday summarizing the current state of affairs. She dipped just a bit into the text messages which was nice. It's a good source to catch up on events...until Monday.

I am hesitant to even suggest this, but how long do you think it takes for team Trump to connect the two whistle blowers to Strzok and "insurance policies"?
