Watch this shit

One Big Salad.
Dude is not well.
He actually posted that shit to his own twitter?

Doing his thing that I’m confident he read in a sales 101 book at some time. The concept is correct the President is just really, really, really bad at doing it (see what I did?).
Say things three times. Concept follows as this:
Do something 3 times and it’s a habbit
Confirm understanding 3 times
Make 3 attempts to close on every interaction
Rule of three... people like 3 options more and they become confused

3 Adam shiff mentions
3 corruption/ corrupt Democrats mentions
3 the call was perfect mentions

The President does this all the time, he’s been doing it from day one on the campaign trail.

For the #bothsides crowd, I noticed Obama did it too except Obama kept it to important stuff like speeches and interviews for important stuff plus he sounded much more natural doing it. Obama would State the problem, explain the solution, then explain the solution in a simpler form, then explain it again in a more complicated but brief manner.

Well, I mean, he'll probably *try*. But not even putting aside the crime-fraud exception, his little "I will be the hero" speech where he said, "I’m not acting as a lawyer. I’m acting as someone who has devoted most of his life to straightening out government" that is going to make that awfully tough.

If criminals were smart and able to keep their mouths shut, there'd be way fewer people in prison. Fortunately no one in the administration fits either category.

I trust you are right but I have to concentrate to pick it up from Trump .. after the first 10 seconds I just see a criminal moron in semi panic who cant find his train of thought.. Sad.

That’s why he’s really poor at it. His words are too forced and why me. He needs to be more relaxed & natural about it.
I’m so used to listening to sales peoples techniques I honestly find it fascinating to listen to the President attempt do it.
I can tell the President is used to delegating sales tasks off to others. Nothing wrong with doing that either.
I’ve seen Senior Executives do awkward ham handed sales to people. They are better spoken but you can tell they’ve never been required to do those activities in their lives. They end up giving so much shit away for free they’d be immediately coached about their performance. One executive actually said something like that to me, don’t remember exactly what he said but it was along the lines of “I wouldn’t last long with you would I”
I said he’d have 90 days to improve and provided he followed guidance he’d be fine. He then giggled and bought me & my team lunch.

Who knew, apparently, there another whistle blower story trying to bubble up out of Trump's sewer. This involves the divulgence of Trump's tax returns.

It's very possible that the dam is bursting and a deluge of evidence of corruption in the white house is about to come forth.

WOW. You call what Schiff said paraphrasing?

That is just silly.

I know it’s not your preferred news outlet but CNN has a pretty fair summary here

I didn’t listen to the audio because it’s late and I don’t want to wake my wife.
Personally I think the President is being a drama queen about this. Schiff went in a weird direction but doesn’t the President do that on a daily basis? If the President didn’t do it so often my answer would likely be different.

Yes, of course I do. He explicitly stated that he was summarizing what the president said and then did a perfectly fair job of doing so. It was kind of dumb of him to do from a rhetorical standpoint as easily as he could have just read straight from the memo, but whoever told you that it couldn't be fairly and accurately described as paraphrasing straight-up lied to you.

What bugs me is the absolutely transparent bad faith and dishonesty from both Trump and conservatives on this.

1) What Schiff said was obviously paraphrasing and a perfectly fair paraphrase at that.

2) Even if it were a total lie the idea that supporters of Donald Trump of all people care if a politician lies or not is hilarious.

They are desperately flailing for something to distract from Trump’s impeachment and are hurling any shit they can find at the wall to hope some sticks. What the media should do is ignore it.

Per WaPo Pompeo defies impeachment inquiry subpoena

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told House Democrats on Tuesday that State Department officials scheduled to appear this week before committees conducting the impeachment inquiry would not show up.
The refusal, in a letter to a Democratic committee chairman, described the demand for depositions by five officials who played a role in U.S. relations with Ukraine as “an attempt to intimidate, bully, and treat improperly, the distinguished professionals of the Department of State.”

At this point we'll find out what Pelosi and the others are made of. An immediate citation for contempt and obstruction of the Inquiry, preparation for arrest for inherent contempt of Congress and get this to the SCOTUS ASAP. If Pompeo can obstruct anyone can.

This. It's time to actually start putting people in jail for this shit. Hopefully Dems don't bitch out, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

Update- It's being reported that what Pompeo is refusing to do is not release information that he agreed to, but the ones he's refusing to deal with aren't part of the subpoena.

Screw me this is so fluid it's hard to nail some things down except Trump who did that for us.

Well, if they are vital witnesses, Dems could just subpoena them as well and then we're back to this stupid game of chicken.

Would be really interesting to know the clear origin of the idea that the whistleblower had no first-hand knowledge whatsoever. I know Trump spoke to that effect.

It also shows that the idea first-hand knowledge is even necessary is bullshit, having been an error in how a form was made in conflict with the law. I hate that there are members of the media intentionally producing false narratives.
