well if you've checked the costco page for the model..

This is not a dull question. Though the one at Costco and X22WG-Gamer (at Sceptre site) look the same, Sceptre says nothing about this thing being wall mountable and pics here don't indicate that it really is ... while Costco explicitly says "Wall Mountable (VESA 100mm)". It's an important feature to me as I'm constantly running out of space on my desk (also I really do not like the design of this monitor's stand).

Hrm, now it's a toss up between this and a refurb 2007FPW that costs $20 more shipped. Anyone know about the quality of these things?? How's the picture? What panel is in there?

And wall mountable would be kinda cool too since my desk is itty bitty (especially with my current 21" CRT on there...)

Now that a look at pictures at sceptre.com it does seem like there are 4 holes in a square pattern on the flat surface of the back of the monitor ... not the best design, but perhaps it is indeed wall mountable ...

Great deal.

And it does dual display, which I always kinda liked...

AND it's sold by costco, which means no worries about dead/stuck pixels.

Friday the 13th is gonna be a busy day at Costco...

I've looked but didn't see any. Newegg carries the 20" version of the same monitor (at least I assume it's the same...) that has a 5* rating. Might be a decent monitor.

Yea I couldn't find any either, I think its because this monitor isn't technically "out" yet. Maybe we will see a review once its out. I plan on going to my costco this weekend and I'll check to see if they have it. Since this deal doesn't start until next friday, it may be that these simply haven't come out yet

Wow, have we all gone too lazy and had to wait for other ppl to get you the details? The costco page clearly states that it is the "[Model x22wg-Gamer / 134621]".

Also on another page videopho posted, sceptre's website on the xg-gamer (not the compare page) it saids "Ergotron Arm Compatible (VESA 100mm)".

I think that saids it all

1 year warranty? huh? its costco..

I wonder if this falls under their "computer" category for returns which are limited to 6 months?

Would the Comcast HD DVR (with HDMI) work on this?

Another thing to consider is that this deal requires a $30 mail-in rebate. If we have to remove the UPC, will Costco still take this thing back?

from the costco website: "Please note, as of November 4th, 2002 , the return policy for all desktop and notebook computers are six months from the date of purchase. Six months after purchase, all computer services and technical support will be subject to the applicable remaining manufacturer?s warranty. "

doesn't say anything about lcd monitors, so i would think the lifetime warranty still applies. :)

also, they won't care about the missing upc.. i've returned things to costco without a box at all and they never said anything. what i do now for larger purchases is to just tape the receipt to the back of the item so i won't lose it..

You could show up at Costco with this LCD in a Hefty bag two years from now and they'd still take it back.

Here's a site translated from Chinese that has just a little info about the monitor, the links at the bottom also have small writeups on the Acer, Viewsonic and Samsung 22's. They all seem to be pretty much the same, although it's impossible to tell if they all use the same panel.

I'm not a big fan of built in speakers either. They're never going to have the same quality as a decent 5.1 setup...why mix and match?

I dont remember having to send anything in with costco rebates.. All costco rebates I've done was just to complete online with the receipt and it comes in like 2 weeks..

edit: nevermind.. just checked costco.com about rebates. It saids theres 2 types, 1 is standard, other is mail-in. The sceptre comes with mail-in.

To answer the question of needing the upc to return, I believe you can return anything at costco even if you don't have the box. Thats was my understanding.
