So I'm laying on my bed last night surfing the net :sneaky: when I hear a clawing/scratching sound right above me in the ceiling.

It stops after about 10 mins.

So this morning I was woken by it again. Me thinks it's some sort of mouse. I've never seen a rat around my house.

Why the fuck does this fkn mouse or whatever it is have to scratch so much?

How can I kill it?

Ceiling cat! So that's where he moved; you should charge him rent.

It's probably a squirrel. Whatever it is, it's probably 1/12 of your size. Stop being so scared.

Last time this happened to me it ended up being a racoon, who later bred and had a little family of baby racoons living up there.

I just don't see anything that big finding a way to get up there...

I have had a raccoon, opposum and squirrel in my attic. (3 separate incidents and holes)
They all scratched loudly. I found where they were entering the attic.
I lured them out with canned cat food and caught them in a live trap.
I then filled the hole(s) with wood and sheet metal.

It sounds like zerglings. Just fortify your base and leave a couple marines at the entrance.

Where I was living I didn't think a racoon could get up there either, then one day while driving up to my apartment I saw a racoon on the roof that slipped into a spot that I didn't think it could fit into. The racoon had a dead mouse in it's mouth, apparently to feed it's kids.

Relax, it was probably just a Wendigo. Just go down to the hardware store and buy a large Wendigo trap and bait it with some human meat.

It's funny, I just heard a rat running around in my attic. Time to pick up some rat traps.

Gotta be careful, though. Those things can break a finger...

I heard something inside the ceiling scratching around a few weeks ago. Turned out to be a bird.
