IT by stephen king is hella scary
i think its cause of that movie that i don't like clowns anymore

I haven't seen it since I was 14, but John Carpenter's "Prince of Darkness" was one of the only movies to freak me out (and I used to be totally into the horror genre back in the 80s). Candyman was pretty good.

Anyone get freaked out playing System Shock 2? One of my good friends borrowed mine, and gave it back shortly after saying that it was too creepy.

If you haven't seen Ring you don't know what scary is, seriously. Exorcist? Hehe, please.. not even close. Another good one is Session 9, creepy & entertaining.

Couldnt agree more, I saw The Exorcist in a theater and I also have it on dvd and it is more funny than scary. Havent seen Session 9 though, will look for it.

Event Horizon was at least somewhat scary.

You really should look into Session 9. Actually I just saw it last night for the first time and the story was good, interesting and I really really like the style they build up the creepiness. In the end, the story is actually pretty damn weird.. leave's you thinking what the f**k just happened? 🙂

Definetly one of the best horror movies ever.

k, how the hell does smoeone get ahold of the movie "ring" in north america??? I have tried and tried and tried... no one has it, or htey get it mixed up with somthing else.

Is there a ISBN # on the DVD I can give someone or somthing???

<< Ring scariest sh*t ever made >>

Rented and saw it with my then gf a couple of years back. This was at night, pretty late, but just as we got past the scene with the well, my parents called. Scared the crap out of both of us.

HAHA so it was the phone and NOT the movie?? I havent seen it, so maybe i'll rent it.

I haven't really found any movies that have scared me. I thought Event Horizon was a damn good movie but it wasn't scary. One of my teachers says the scariest movie ever is Let's Scare Jessica to Death. I can't say I've seen it but it's only got a PG-13 rating so I wouldn't expect too much.

Alot of good suggestions here in my opinion.

I though Jeepers Creepers and Blair Witch were scare for the same reasons.

IT'S SCAREY THAT ANYONE WOULD MAKE SUCH CRAP!!!!!

The first time I saw Scream scared me silly. But Event Horizon is just messed up.

Hellraiser, especially the second one: Hellbound.

I know--It's just a gorefest, but it gave me nightmares!!

EVENT HORZON definately. All other "scary" movies I have seen make me lauph because of their stupidity exept maybe the 2 first aliens(theire good scifi, but not scary)

The first half of It scared the bejeebus out of me, although the ending was a big letdown, I felt. Relic was another one that was scary up front but petered out at the end. The Thing, however, scared me pretty much all the way through.

When I was a kid there was some messed up stuff on PBS, including a vampire series that was downright freaky. All I can remember now is they made this girl wear a garlic necklace. Another one had snakes that used mind control on people.

But the movie that impacted me most as a kid (and would probably seem stupid now), was a British (?) film about these alien things that looked sort of like tortoises with long snake necks that attacked people and animals, leaving a white carcass that looked suspiciously like foam rubber. Nothing f***s up a kid like a foam rubber poodle carcass! Sometimes I call my mom and cuss her out for letting me watch that. Does anyone have any idea what the name of it was?
