So I guess you're not after credibility as much as you are partisan hacks longing to see people you disagree with go down, eh?

Oh?
Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski, whose unit was in charge during the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuses in 2003.
So, who's she the scapegoat for?

You are thread crapping yet another thread eh? AND, you apparently didn't read this article either. Would you like a fork? "Karpinski was demoted to colonel, a move that required approval by the president."

BTW.. B.A.K.'s .. I wonder who all GAVE HER THE ORDERS TO ROUGH UP THOSE IRAQI's... HUH?

I seem to remember that Mr Ashcroft sought advice from Mr Gonzalez who told Ashcroft that Torture IS FINE... and JUST and LEGAL

Why aren't her commanding officers suffering any penalties? LIKE El Presidente' Bush and Nipple Freak Ashcroft and Donald "Saddams Butt Buddy" Rumsfeld?

Sorry if I don't automatically sign up to the zany conspiracy theories the bunch of you drool over.

Yes, dumbass, military regulations require that this demotion has the approval of the president. Your point?

Oh come on. You people are voluntarily ignoring the plain truth because you hate Sheriff Bush.

I didn't vote for the President either, but this woman was IN COMMAND of the fvcking place where those people were tortured. Her story changes everytime she opens her mouth, but it doesn't matter, they all=dodging any form of responsibility. She was IN CHARGE and either let it happen or didn't know about it, either of which is completely inexcusable. I've seen her interviewed, and she can't even answer the simplest of questions about her own facility without saying some sh*t like "I'm just a woman, they don't tell me that stuff." Bvllshit. You're a general. Do your damn job. This isn't some sexual harassment case, its about people UNDER YOUR COMMAND torturing POWs at will and photographing the entire thing.

That tells me she's at the very least a horrible general, because she obviously sucks at taking command and imposing her will on others. She deserves more than demotion.

I don't think any of us are in disagreemnt about her being guilty. Its that her superiors ordered her to do so. No accountability up the chain of the line... it stopped at her? She masterminded the entire thing?

It is funny how thread crapping apparently means asking questions the OP cant answer now.

No wonder democrats lose at the polls. They cant support their arguments then run away when confronted and cry foul.

You lost me. Yllus essentially said the president wasn't involved and I corrected him. The threadcrapping started with yllus's first post. What are you talking about?

The one General who actually said something about what was going on. I remember when she was first being interviewed. She was very candid and open. I knew her career was over then but it's a shame the higher-ups and even the White House is getting away without even a slap on the wrist.

And where the f*ck is the media on Abu Ghraib? It's been over a year now and they're more worried about who's testifying against Whacko Jacko or some psycho hose beast with cold feet.

You know this country is in trouble when 'The Runaway Bride' story trumps everything Iraq/Bush/Corruption/AbuG combined. I'm amazed.
