Shipped!

Although the email is fishy, idk if you guys read it.

Something about guaranteeing that the product is "new", why do they even need to put that in the email? //headscratch

But.. i suppose since this stuff has lifetime warranty, it's fine

I think I know why this ram was so cheap though, seems corsair is probably discontinuing the dominator gt, to push dominator platinum

I don't think THAT was the reason behind this sale. Usually when manufacturers like Corsair or Logitech get ready to phase out a product line, in preparation for a new one, the practice is to offer manufacturer's rebates (so the cost doesn't come out of the vendor's pocket) +/- some vendor's discount, as opposed to a huge discount from the vendor alone. All other vendors, including Newegg, TD, etc, are still selling these at $80+. It's possible that PricePro is discontinuing this product, or that this was simply a pricing error, but the vendor caught it early and chose to honor the few that went through, esp. since this was done via Amazon (these vendors have to watch their seller's review, lest they get kicked off Amazon marketplace for false advertising).
Interestingly, I don't see this product listed at Corsair (only the 4/12/32 gb kits are listed).

Yea, I didn't see it listed either. And there's also a post on Amazon concerning how these sticks refuse to boot 1866 at 1.5v :(...

Fingers crossed.

Sometimes vendors/sellors do this to bring attention to them. Or generate traffic to the seller's web site... AMAZON also requires that the seller's price on AMAZON Marketplace must be cheaper than the seller's own website or else they get the boot! o_O

Did anybody get these?

One of the guys from one of the other forums posted that they shipped him a Halloween costume. When he contacted them they sent him a return label, but refused to send the ram?

Wondering if anyone else had anything similar happen to them.

Was this from "The Price Pros" (some ppl in this thread said it was, but not sure about the Halloween costume)? They have an insane deal on a 12GB triple channel kit right now on Amazon, so I'd be interested to know if they're responsible for all the recent Amazon/Dominator deals, and they're not following through. Thanks.
