Does anyone here know anything about the management team responsible for all the evil crap SCO has tried to perpetrate? Any links? Seems like it would make for a great investigative article.

iirc it's circling around that they may be held personally accountable for the financial burden SCOX is about to incur:evil:

What, are investors going to sue them, or something? Got any links? I want to see the post mortem 😀

Well, to put an optimistic spin on things, 70% of a dollar.something aren't really much. It's not like people haven't been dumping their shares of the stocks anyways.

hey owe Novell 95% of what they made selling unix [licenses] during the period when they did not own it .

They were only supposed to keep 5% as an administrative fee.

Right, but that's SCO the corporation, not its management team. The corporation most likely will just go bankrupt and management will be out of a job, but not owe any actual money 🙁

Background on the lawsuit for the lazy? Cliffs are fine.

Text
Cliffs: SCO sues a bunch of companies (including Red Hat and IBM) claiming that Linux infringes of its patents. SCO claims it owns Unix. Novell claims that it, not SCO, owns Unix. SCO sues Novell for slander. Novell wins and SCO owes Novell the royalties that it collected on the patents.

Thank you!

SCO got pwnt. Lol.

More general cliffs: Never, EVER, even think about suing IBM if it's related to technology and IP. 🙂
