Their main problem is they're primarily located in malls, and malls aren't exactly doing so well themselves these days.

Agreed, not to mention the high overhead. Anytime I go to a one of the malls near me, I eat at Hawaiian Express, its fantastic.

Food is way too expensive too. Slice of pizza and a soda approaching $10. Are they kidding me?

I loved that shit as a kid but once I started paying myself and saw the price I said no thanks. Pizza and soda is easy to turn a profit on and they gouged you like mofos.

I have not eaten at that place since 2000. Overpriced horrible food.

They've got a few on Virginia Tech's campus, I eat there sometimes since it's half off with my meal plan.

I wonder what's going to happen to it.

I can walk into Costco and get 2 slices and a drink for $4.97. Not saying the pizza at Costco is to die for or anything, but ok for lunch.

It used to be good.. a huge slice and a drink were like $4.00. I had one about 6 months ago and it wasn't that great and yeah, was like 6-7 bucks.

No thanks.

^ Ditto for Sams Club.

If I ever lost my job I'd just go to Sams for lunch everyday.

I went there once and only once. I ordered a calzone....they gave it to me...it was on pretzel bread. Seriously. Only bad calzone I've ever had in my life

Hmm, I would like to have pizza at Sams to see the difference, but I don't have a membership there.

i don't know if you really need a membership to eat at sams. the greeter at the door doesn't check cards ( i seem to remember costco did to divert you to the new member counter ) and the food cashier doesn't check membership cards.

I get the hot dog and drink combo for $1.78. Bottomless soda, and I load the dog with tons of onions, mustard, a little ketchup, and relish. MMM

Yeah, it used to be really good food for just a little more cash than normal pizza joints. I remember the place was so popular one of our malls had 1 sbarros on each end of the mall.

pizza places make money on soda. pizza margins are also huge so an "increase" in costs is not a bankruptcy claim by any stretch. i'd wager mall attendance is more of the problem
